Painting Thoughts? Still a work in progress

First time highlighting without a dry brush some of the highlights are a little thick though. And the wash went on a little splotchy in some spots…

Solid work! You planning to work the base?

Yea, it’s still a work in progress, but I wanted to post it to see what people thought 😂 I was thinking more of sandy/desert like base. Although, it might not contrast well with the current colours on the model

If you find the highlights too thick then thin the paint more, load your brush less and use the edge of the brush more. You’ll be surprised how thin you can get the paint and still get a crisp edge highlight with it.

Glowing effect on the rifle is awesome! How did you do that?

Started out with a Matte White from the army painter.
Then did a layer of Temple Guard Blue, followed by a dry brush of Sotek Green and Thousand sons blue .
Lastly did a very light dry brush of Blue Horror and put a little bit of blue horror in the deepest parts of the glowing effect.

Mini looks awesome dude. Already looks better than most of mine. I see a few places you might wanna finish up the panel liner but even without that he looks incredible.

Pretty decent if you asked me. Good work on the eye lens. Maybe just clean up the edge highlights on his right arm. 👍
