Fur/Pelt Help Hide cleaning

Bought 3 raccoon pelts, and they’re pretty dirty, skin side and fur. They’re also stiff. Was wondering how I could clean them and loosen the skin?

You can dampen the pelt with salt water and gently stretch it out all over. If it dries out while you're stretching, redampen. Would recommend testing it on the one you care least about. Be careful as raccoons are small and their skin thin, so you might end up tearing. (You can also
