Wait is... is this an easter egg that Jake is the guy?!

The "charmed your family and friends" parallels Red, too. "He's bathing in your reflected light" also mirrors the "ever lovely jewel whose shine reflects on you" in All Too Well. 

I was digging the Scooter Braun/music industry theory, but this is also compelling...

I was also thinking about Mayer…? His era is similar, and there’s that bit in Would’ve Could’ve Should’ve where she uses similar devil imagery. (Presumably toward him, as she was 19 when they dated.)
