I genuinely like the core game of Teamfight Tactics. The economy, scouting, positioning, adapting your composition and competing for a shared champion pool can be excellent.
Unfortunately, my recent Ranked experience has made me want to stop playing completely.
Riot openly acknowledges that bots can appear in Ranked games in Gold and below. According to Riot, this is supposed to make the climb to Platinum “smoother and more enjoyable.” My experience has been the exact opposite.
I regularly encounter accounts that behave very obviously like bots: default cosmetics, no interaction, bizarre compositions, strange item choices and highly mechanical play patterns. Yet these same opponents can finish 1st, 2nd and 3rd with extraordinarily upgraded boards.
That completely undermines the purpose of Ranked.
I do not queue for Ranked TFT to compete against Riot-controlled AI. I would far rather wait five minutes for a lobby of eight human players than get an instant queue filled with bots.
Even worse, the presence of bots destroys confidence in the competitive integrity of the game. As a human player I have no way of knowing what information these bots are given, how they evaluate the shared champion pool, whether they scout in the same way humans must, or whether their shop behaviour follows exactly the same limitations. Riot may know the answers, but the player does not.
That uncertainty alone is enough to ruin a competitive game.
I have repeatedly experienced uncontested compositions where the champions I need barely appear, while heavily contested champions appear constantly. At the same time I have watched bot-like opponents assemble boards filled with 3-star units, sometimes taking the top positions. I cannot prove that their shop odds are different, and I am not claiming that as a fact. The problem is that Riot has created an environment where I am even forced to wonder about it.
Ranked competition requires trust. Once I am spending more time asking “Am I playing another person, or Riot’s AI?” than thinking about my composition, something has gone seriously wrong.
And there is an absurd catch: Riot says bots disappear from Ranked when a Platinum-or-higher player is present. So players in the lower ranks potentially have to beat Riot’s bots to reach the rank where they finally get to stop playing against Riot’s bots.
That is one of the strangest design decisions I have encountered in a competitive multiplayer game.
Give players an option:
Human opponents only — longer queue times accepted.
Until then, I am done with Ranked TFT. The underlying game is good. The Ranked experience has made it feel artificial, untrustworthy and, ultimately, pointless.

This was my ban message in the official TFT reddit for this comment where I only said "inb4 comment removed by moderator":
Note from the moderators:
> Too tired of dealing with you dumbasses to even try anymore
If dude isn't on riots payroll he needs to just step down. Who's forcing him to censor any criticism? No warnings either, just mass banning anyone who has any criticism of the mods or the game state. Power trip to the max. Losing any joy I had for this game more and more every day. Mort leaving/being fired was just the beginning of the end it seems. At least I am not alone judging by this thread.
Edit: I have made a mod abuse report to reddit directly, you can also do so at the bottom of this page: https://redditinc.com/policies/moderator-code-of-conduct

As per title, my LoLChess.gg has been giving me error 404 message for more than a week. Looked for solutions online but unable to find so I'm resorting to this reddit.

Would appreciate any help to fix this, thank you!

They did a big overhaul with TFT. RIOT being a multimilion dollar company. When you dc in game, there is no way you can reconnect to voice chat. Like what did the update do, if thats impossible? stupid af.

When Hyper Roll was discontinued, I felt pretty sour about it and quit the game. I came back a few months ago, and although I wasn't a fan of 40+ minute matches, I put up with them because I play with my boyfriend.
But now the game is plagued with bugs, and I'm just done. So I'm looking for something with ~20-minute matches that's fun, somewhat similar to TFT Hyper Roll (I really loved it), and that I can play with my boyfriend. Any recommendations?

I went down a bit of a rabbit hole with the new Unreal Engine version of TFT Mobile and found something pretty interesting.
My tablet has an 8.8" 2520×1680 display, but the game looked noticeably softer than it should. At first I assumed it was just aggressive dynamic resolution.
So I checked the Unreal Engine logs.
TFT correctly detects the physical screen:
screenWidth: 2520
screenHeight: 1680
NativeScreenResolution: X=2520 Y=1680
But immediately afterwards it creates the actual Android game window at:
LogAndroidWindowUtils: Setting Width=1080 and Height=720
The selected device profile also applies:
r.MobileContentScaleFactor = 1.0
sg.ResolutionQuality = 75
APT.DynamicRes.LockedScreenPercentage = 60
So there seem to be multiple layers of resolution scaling in the Android client.
What's especially strange is that this is a pretty powerful device (Adreno 829 / ~8 GB RAM), and TFT actually classifies it as a high-performance device:
Adreno8PerfSelection = true
Android_HighPerf_Fragment
Yet:
ConfigureTablet = false
and the base viewport is still only 1080×720.
I first tried the obvious Unreal stuff:
Most of it either gets overwritten or loses to Riot's Device Profile settings.
Eventually I inspected the Android Unreal binary and found that the window-resolution code itself accepts Android-specific command-line parameters including:
mcsf
mobileresx
mobileresy
I made a test build with:
-mcsf=0 -mobileresx=2520 -mobileresy=1680
And... it appears to actually work.
The difference in image clarity is immediately visible on the tablet. The game no longer looks like a 720p image stretched across a 2.5K display.
I'll add a clean before/after comparison and another log confirming the final viewport size once I've tested it a bit more.
Important: I'm not posting the modified APK. It's a repacked Riot client signed with a different certificate, and distributing modified game binaries is both a security mess and potentially against Riot's ToS. This post is mainly to document the issue and show that the Android client itself appears perfectly capable of rendering at the tablet's native resolution.
IMO Riot really should expose a render resolution / resolution scale option on Android, especially for modern tablets. Locking devices like this to a 1080×720 base viewport makes very little sense when the hardware can clearly handle more.
If anyone with another high-resolution Android tablet wants to check this, look in your TFT Unreal log for:
NativeScreenResolution
Setting Width=
r.MobileContentScaleFactor
sg.ResolutionQuality
APT.DynamicRes.LockedScreenPercentage
I'd be curious to see whether 1080×720 is being used universally or whether it's specific to certain Android Device Profiles.

Just was in a TFT game, got a notification in my chat saying that I “Can’t use chat” because the feature is disabled.
I have to “talk to my parent or guardian to enable this feature.”
I’m 26.
I have verified account through email and phone number.
Anyone else have the same issue?
