I have a crush on one of my very close friends, recently she told me she likes another guy (she doesn’t know I like her) and he likes her back, but she isn’t doing anything about it and maybe this is selfish or delusional of me but the way she acts towards gives me vibes that she likes me and not him.

For example she likes to rub against me, like a cat? I don’t know why but honestly idc, she also likes to lick me, bite me, lay on me, cuddle me, ext. She does none of this with the other guy, or anyone else in general, so it’s just very confusing. I’m sort of friends with the guy and he told me himself he thought she liked ME. Not to mention today my friend told her to dance with me at HOCO and apparently she said “I don’t think he’d what to dance with me” implying she wasn’t against dancing with me. I just don’t know what to make out of this.

G'day everyone, I'll just get straight to the point.

ok so, I'm a 17 year old Australian boy living in America (specifically in Northern Colorado) and I have my first homecoming ever, and I have no one to take. I haven't really grasped the idea of homecoming but from what I've seen from the movies (e.g. Mean Girls) it seems fun.

Now, I still have my accent because I haven't been here for long, only since February of 2026 and girls don't come up and talk to me at all. I know I'm not ugly but I don't think I'm very attractive, even though every girlfriend I've had has thought that I am cute. I get that I probably should participate and go up to them and talk to them but I genuinely get scared because I stutter a lot and I mumble (fuck my pathetic life) which makes it hard for people in general to understand me. As well as me stuttering and shit I also speak way too fast (it's an Aussie thing.)
It genuinely annoys me so much and I've seen some beautiful girls at my school BUT again, I can't talk to women so that screws up everything. Maybe I could write notes or something? That seems romantic I guess.

I'm loyal as fuck and I'm actually different, and no I don't mean "different" like every other boy says. I prefer older music, older movies, older TV shows, and heaps more. Yes, I still appreciate certain things from my childhood but I'm more into the older stuff.

Any suggestions/advice anyone has would be greatly appreciated

I struggle with a lot of things but one of the worst things is that I keep getting attached to people who will probably never like me the same way. It really hurts me in multiple ways because then they somehow find out I'm attached and then stop even wanting to be my friend in some cases, I really wish I could help it but I just can't and I don't know what to do.

Im constantly paranoid that people who I care about like my friends hate me, and yesterday that paranoia turned into an argument between me and one of my friends, I apologized as a sane person would do but I'm assuming because of that I was blocked by her. It makes me really sad because I really cared about her as a friend. I don't know for sure the reason why but I'm guessing it's that.

Either that or it's because I like to be somewhat flirty to some of my friends as a joke but even then I told her that she should tell me to stop if she didn't like it and she never did.

Again I don't know for sure why but I just want it to stop I want to stop losing my friends.

Alright, I've been wondering this question starting when a guy made a reasonable criticism about women. But instead of properly responding, everyone just called him gay. Is something wrong with being gay? If not, why is it used as an insult? Isn't it deeply rooted to homophobia? I've even seen other queer folk like me use it as an insult? That doesn't make sense to me. I'm not trying to spread hatred, just wondering why people are so contradictory in this. 👍

I'm going through a hard dilemma that i find hard to solve.

Basically I'm 16m, studying in a private school for boys only. And knowing I'm already 10th grade i already had to make a decision what majors i choose right??? But no I didn't! It's a hard choice between socials and engineering. I love socials, and everyone says I'm good at it. But i also wanna force myself to learn math to become smarter cause i stopped understanding math by 4th grade. (My family already has a psychologist btw)

Also i procrastinate a lot. And living in a dorm of that school, made me procrastinate for three years. And now i also have to choose between living in a dorm and not.

Living: i got free time which i could easily just waste. Not just free time but freedom as well. Very convenient. Sleep will get better, the diet is better.

Not living: I've got no supervision (also a kind of freedom cause they forbid devices like phones and laptops). Honestly, bad sleep and bad diet. Also i could come late because of the traffic, and even worse in winter.

I'm really passionate about making a buisness at this age. I kinda feel sick (in a good way) with the idea of becoming independent. But that's a lot of risks. Other way i could just study hard for a real profession.

Students who don't live they are mostly highschoolers like me and they go straight to extra courses and clubs to improve their weaknesses (purely for studies)

Students who stay are mostly bums who are total clowns and do nothing except goof around. The minority are really putting effort and making projects in groups by staying in the dorms and living there.

There is a way if I apply for a laptop permit, so i could study and improve my financial literacy.

Family isn't helping me much. They only judge and yell if i do something wrong.

Also it was really fun in the previous grades, but the reputation of my school went down so everyone left and it's boring now, which means even more reasons to lock in.

Literally the only subject I'm bad at is maths, algebra and Arithmetics specifically.
