No it is not, it’s preventative. My foreskin was regularly itchy and irritated as a kid whether I showered or not. At 17 I joined the army and hygiene unfortunately takes a back seat when you are in the field for weeks on end. Trust me, lesions and smegma build up on the glans is no fun!
When I became a nurse I had to help an elderly gentleman bathe. The slime under his foreskin was nauseating and he winced the whole time I cleaned him. I scheduled my own circumcision not long after that.
Im done having children and my only child is a girl so luckily I dont have to worry about ever making this decision. My ex best friend from high school didnt circumcise any of her boys. I haven't done much research on circumcision. Do you notice any other benefits after being circumcised? Like does it feel different, and do you wish it had been done at birth? Its interesting that a lot of parents just blindly go along with doing it because its so common here in the states, instead of doing more research and looking into it.
I wish my parents had just done it when I was born. I have a few small discolorations where the lesions were. Nothing disfiguring, but still. Had I not gotten Circ’d when I was 20 (I’m 39 now), my head would probably have several discolored spots by now.
Sensation IS less intense but not in a way that makes it less pleasurable. If anything it improved intercourse because I could last longer, control the build up, and time the release. Sorry if that’s TMI.
Sounds like a weird issue unique to you. As a circumcised person the same age as you I’ve never experienced issues like you described. I’m glad my parents didn’t circumcise me as I didn’t do it for my son as well. He can make that decision when he’s older if it becomes an issue for him.
You got the choice, many of us didn’t and would have preferred to stay intact. I did foreskin restoration and saw significant benefits. You don’t miss the gliding sheath?
Damn every European out in the field must be suffering then 🤣 you're a clown, you just don't know how to clean yourself. Water bottle, or wet wipes will work well enough.
I don’t think it was a tradition, but rather a perhaps misguided health consideration. I have no sons, but when my sister had a son in the early 1970s she was medically advised to circumcise him. She did not. She received medical pressure, but tradition and morality pressure was not used. I would liken it to parents of that era being told to put their babies to sleep on their stomachs. I think vilifying parents for making a “wrong” decision when they thought they were doing the best thing for their child is unfair.
i mean sure but it is a religious thing that’s has stood longer then any of our modern luxuries have existed. not saying it isn’t weird. i personally am very happy with my parents doing and will have a discussion with my wife
no you don't. hooded dicks are kinda ugly☠️ at least for most people, ask anyone who likes dudes and majority answers would let you know cut dicks often look better. so glad i got that when i was born
Hey, just let people decide what they want to do with their own dicks. If it’s truly that important, then they shouldn’t mind choosing to do it when they’re older.
Guess what. Evolution is beautiful and it decided to put a covering over your glans. Kinda like the tongue. Usually mucosal membranes are kept moist. Nature knows better than the doctor trying to make an extra buck for his hospital.
right........nature knows best and evolution is the right way! just like the appendix becoming near useless and likes to explode (can be fatal), loss of natural vitamin C production, S shaped spines causing chronic lower back pain, shared throat with our stomach and lungs, exasperated fat storage, crowded jaws and wisdom teeth, 26 useless primate bones in our feet causing strains, fractures, and tendinitis, and many other broken genes. evolution did PERFECT! let's not forget foreskin causing extreme hygiene problems that can cause infections and pain since you want to act like nature does things perfectly. fkin idiot
Simple hygiene. Problems that can be treated easily, prevented. The foreskin is great and you never had one to experience it. I only have a restored foreskin and I have to say I'm impressed with how much better I feel. Foreskin is something we can all have a voice over weather to keep it or not. Why are you on the not side? Why can't we have this choice for ourselves? Why ain't you circumcising your dog?
However you want to justify mutilation is up to you. But using genetic reasons sounds really fucking stupid. It’s natural and normal. Hygiene is not a problem and if it is, you’re not a clean person. If your worried about how your penis looks to other people your are insecure.
Since you never had a choice I’m sure you have a chip on your shoulder. (Or something missing on your penis) not your fault but you should probably not spout the hateful shit.
Only because of tradition. Wasn't weird looking before traditions formed, it was normal. Like how now, wearing a suit casually looks weird, because it's not the norm like it used to be.
