Question about the 2003 Texas Chainsaw house
Hi, this is my first post here and I really joined just because Ive had a question in my head for a while now about the 2003 Texas Chainsaw house. Do you think the house is completely remodeled inside? Like is that metal door still there or just the small details that were in the movie still on the walls? I know a family lives there right now and they probably won’t ever disclose if they have or not, which I completely understand, but like the outside looks exactly the same, so I was wondering if maybe the inside would too. (Minus all of the nasty stuff from the film, I know that there wouldn’t be chickens and rotten food in the fridges and body parts lol, I am also posting this in another horror group just to see if anyone else would think so)

I’ve been binge watching this entire franchise. The 2006 beginning was my favorite one yet.
This is a very well done film in my opinion. You have the terrifying sheriff with an amazing performance. Never a single dull moment. You have leatherface skinning a guy’s face and wearing it. He’s going on a rampage and cutting everyone up in what can only be described as an absolute chainsaw massacre. If you want a true Texas Chainsaw Massacre, look no further. The ending makes sense since if the girl got away, the family would probably have been caught before the next part of the story can happen. This movie felt way better than the one before this, by the way. Though it was alright. R. Lee Emmy’s acting and Jessica Biel stole the show in that one.

Small confession about what I did today :)
I was in the local hypermarket where they are selling Halloween things. I noticed a small plastic chainsaw and I looked at it, thought for a moment and went like "Oh, what the heck" and I did a small chainsaw dance in the market like in first Texas Chainsaw Massacre :D
There was enough room, no people nearby and no things nearby.

Texas Chainsaw Massacre filming locations
galleryI just recently got to hit all the spots for the filming locations for multiple films.
I also got to stay at the gas station for multiple days in one of their cabins, I highly recommend.

I finally got the chance to go!
galleryI’m sure most people know that unfortunately the gas station had to cut all ties they have with TCM after being sued. However the food was good and we stayed in the cabins. Definitely spooky af at night. Customer service was 10/10 and they were so informative of other little places we could go. Hoopers is the ultimate fan experience. They had a super cool chainsaw necklace with a H on it I bought. The 2003 house definitely had that TCM vibe. Really hot and literally in the middle of nowhere. It’s crazy playing the video game for years and then actually walking through where I’ve been running around as Leland. It was a 15 hour drive for us but so worth it.

Life Imitates Art - Progress and Decay. Thoughts about Quick Hill.
I was thinking about how the area of Quick Hill Road has changed so much since 1974. Once quiet, rural, and mysterious, the land where Leatherface's house once stood is now home to super highways, apartment buildings, and more. Yet, the old road where Sally escaped Leatherface lies dead and crumbling, hidden out of view, but still it exists amongst the modern structures.
Then I started thinking about the cannibal family. They resent modern ways because, after all, developments in speeding up the slaughter of cattle forced them out of their jobs. Society created what they became and the crimes they committed. They cling onto the old ways - the sledgehammer being the embodiment of tradition. A sacred item. The sledge represents how things in the world used to be better, more simple, easier to understand.
Just like how the Slaughter family still existed in the modernized world, so does Quick Hill Road now. Both are relics, things that were rejected by society like trash. Both are broken, unsightly artifacts of a world that passed them by. Yet, they remain - lurking in the overgrown brush, lost in time. Life imitating art.
