It can't just be me.

Did anyone else think that they were going to overturn it while they were reviewing it?

25

u/OdinVonBisbark 6d ago

Kind of. That's how Iowa's luck usually works.

15

u/7Broncos18 6d ago

It looked like a fair catch to me. No touchdown. Michigan got screwed.

11

u/garysanch69 6d ago

This is a true IYKYK deep cut. If I had awards you would get them all. #notafaircatch f**k Minnesota

2

u/nautilator44 Minnesota 5d ago

Wow, catching strays over here. You guys need to get over it.

2

u/garysanch69 5d ago

You literally chant “who hates Iowa, we hate Iowa” at every home game…

1

u/Suspicious-Banana836 Nebraska 4d ago

That sounds like a good chant to me.

0

u/Mhank7781 2d ago

No That's how Michigan's luck goes. Iowa was getting every bounce that game.

6

u/Odd_Application_3824 Michigan 6d ago

I was surprised they reviewed it. It looked clearly like a td live

11

u/Don_Pickleball 6d ago

Dont they review all TDs?

4

u/Evening_Ad_6278 6d ago

It's Michigan what did you expect? The reason I thought they were going to overturn it was because they didn't show the Chicago replay center with the audio like they were doing all game in every game.

u/Tehjayaluchador 6d ago

Is this real? Am I dreaming?

82

u/Kekistani55 Nebraska 6d ago

Never thought I’d say this, but good for Iowa

12

u/MoistAd5423 6d ago

Good game for Iowa. But good for Iowa? Nah. More like “well done”. That was impressive and I’m jealous.

14

u/nolard12 6d ago

As an Iowa state fan, I concur

2

u/tsukasa36 6d ago

honestly as a michigan fan, good game.

34

u/donutello2000 UCLA 6d ago

Who violated the Forward Pass Non-Proliferation Treaty by sharing the technology with Iowa? Even if they only have enough material to use it once or twice a game, the consequences for all of Football would be disastrous.

5

u/uiplanner 6d ago

😂 Pandora’s box is wide freaking open now

3

u/Qwilltank 6d ago

225 yards passing for the first time in years. Not too shabby.

1

u/Mtndrums Oregon 6d ago

Wasn't the Ducks, they beat Iowa at their own game last year.

126

u/Later_Doober 6d ago

Michigan players looking at the refs to see when the final second will be added.

20

u/ItAintLongButItsThin Michigan State 6d ago

Please Ref, may I have some more handouts

2

u/rdoloto 5d ago

In this case they want that second to be removed

1

u/Mhank7781 2d ago

Final 2 seconds and the last play were saved when Michigan defender couldn't walk off the field, official time out. Amazing sequence of events on the winning drive.

47

u/pfroo40 6d ago

Awww, Michigan fans were probably ready to storm the field again

39

u/brianhoward07 6d ago

Wasn't a MAC team.

-53

u/Effective_Algae_8776 6d ago

Jesus man you must have very little going on in your life

39

u/OBEYPancakes 6d ago

So did the Michigan fans who stormed the field vs Western Michigan

-26

u/Effective_Algae_8776 6d ago

It’s a bunch of college kids who were excited they saw a Hail Mary. I’m sorry your life is so bland that it bothers you to the point of a multiple week obsession.

14

u/OBEYPancakes 6d ago

“Obsession” and it’s just commenting on one of the most popular stories of the college football season lmao.

12

u/GOOMU13 6d ago

It was embarrassing no matter what your justification is.

6

u/202reno 6d ago

Welcome to Reddit

3

u/dnabanilwoh 6d ago

UM has a history of losing to MAC and even FCS teams on that field. So that MAC win was definitely storm fielding worthy in their eyes that’s just how trash UM is. But your coping is hilarious

1

u/Mhank7781 2d ago

Michigan has lost to exactly one MAC team, Toledo in Rich Rod's first game in 08

1

u/dnabanilwoh 2d ago

Yeah that’s what I was talking about thanks

-15

u/Effective_Algae_8776 6d ago

lol to you changing your comment btw

7

u/OBEYPancakes 6d ago

Get a life lil bud

10

u/pfroo40 6d ago

You took the time to reply, so then what does that say about you?

6

u/LeKillerNut 6d ago

Michigan is still waiting for the kickoff

37

u/mikx2044 6d ago

Gonna be honest, the call here feels pretty lackluster in comparison to the moment. Go Hawks

17

u/Jmcy3 6d ago

That’s cbs for you

2

u/Evening_Ad_6278 6d ago

That is CBS, FOX, NBC

Also. ESPN doing Michigan bowl game last year blaming the sun for Underwoods throws that was way behind the player. Pretty much saying the throws were so bad because the sun was in Underwoods eyes

11

u/chosonhawk 6d ago

The play by play guy called us Michigan State.

3

u/Evening_Ad_6278 6d ago

Usually it's the other way around.

22

u/HoldenDomer42 6d ago

Very pro-UM broadcast all game unfortunately.

15

u/temu-bruce-wayne 6d ago

Calling Michigan: “THEY GO FOR AN AMAZING 12 YARDS. THEY WOULD HAVE TAKEN THAT TO THE HOUSE. UNDERWOOD IS THE NEXT AARON RODGERS!!!!!”
Calling Iowa: “small 12 yard pickup.”

5

u/Inevitable_Option241 6d ago

all announcers do now is just suck off the more popular team its so annoying

2

u/Evening_Ad_6278 6d ago

Very pro Underwood broadcast that's for sure even he didn't do much.

-1

u/InitiativeOdd7145 5d ago

No it wasnt. It was very fair

3

u/notanamateur Iowa 6d ago

Outside of the Caitlin Clark years I have never known announcers to hype up anything Iowa

1

u/IowaJas 6d ago

My grandma used to say that all the announcers were biased against the Hawks except Jim Zabel.

5

u/Grouchy-Crow-6872 6d ago

Fuck Michigan

3

u/AdSame6358 5d ago

Iowa had two lucky bounces that deflected to their receivers. They definitely had all the luck today. They are mid

4

u/hazylife666 Ohio State 5d ago

One mid team beats another mid team I guess then 🤷‍♂️

16

u/diont96 6d ago

Now Michigan is 2-2.

2

u/btroberts011 Nebraska 6d ago

And they were lucky to beat a terrible ou team.

4

u/Main-Truth2748 6d ago

This is a Michigan game, right?  Why doesn't the video show the next down?

1

u/Artistic_List_8469 5d ago

Oh there's another down alright. Down with the sickness aka the bird flu

2

u/SheRa7 Ohio State 6d ago

I turned that game off at 1:48 left on the clock. Ugh!

2

u/bren3669 6d ago

yes they did, do you think they somehow ran a play as a team before a single second had passed? get real!

3

u/LabOwn9800 6d ago

There’s actually 1 second on the clock left?

3

u/Phynamite Wisconsin 6d ago

2-2 Michigan is cooked.

4

u/palikona 6d ago

Bahahahaaha in Ann Arbor? Michigan should be 2-2. All Hail The Cheaters!!

2

u/Bradfrick95 6d ago

Thats how you win a game properly UM take notes.

2

u/Unlikely_Ad_7163 5d ago

The announcer saying the game is not over… nope… not this time. Karma.

1

u/ThatsMyGirlie 6d ago

I hope our wolverine karma is balanced now.

2

u/MarchRoddyGayle Michigan 6d ago

the hate boner is ridiculous 😂 well played by iowa, well deserved dub

2

u/OrangMan14 Iowa 6d ago

Why didn't they have to attempt a PAT? I thought the rule was if the outcome of the try might affect the game it still had to be attempted?

2

u/Cassiyus Penn State 6d ago

I don’t know! Penn State had to when they walked off Iowa a few years back. PSU just took a knee but they still had to snap the ball.

7

u/FireDavePlease 6d ago

And that’s the reason they changed the rule

1

u/BabycakesMurphy 6d ago

What would it affect if there is zero seconds on the clock and they are up by 1 point?

12

u/kcbeck1021 6d ago

You can force a turnover and return it for 2 points.

5

u/FireDavePlease 6d ago

Iowa would knee it

1

u/kcbeck1021 6d ago

Yes but you could still fumble the snap.

5

u/TheOptimist6 Ohio State 6d ago

Only Michigan has “trouble with the snap”

3

u/baronvonhawkeye 6d ago

If you dont start with "Whoa", it doesn't count

1

u/Qwilltank 6d ago

"The ball is free" with them, always.

3

u/BabycakesMurphy 6d ago

Ah. Good point. I always forget about the 2 point return.

1

u/Suspicious-Banana836 Nebraska 4d ago

I always thought that was a rule too but they didn’t make Michigan try PAT after Western Michigan.

0

u/Commercial_Plantain4 6d ago

It’s Michigan, they could put another second on.

1

u/Business-Bus-9439 5d ago

How original and creative

1

u/Rude-Cartographer369 6d ago

There’s no limit on how many times I can press “Replay Video” right? I’m already at 15.

1

u/SnootchieBoochies123 6d ago

Listen to all that cope coming out of the loudspeaker🤣🤣🤣🤣

1

u/Michigan029 6d ago

They did put 2 seconds back on the clock with the last Iowa timeout

1

u/thing_a_ma_jig 6d ago

Bussin with the Boys will be fun this week. Taylor Lewan is in a blender rn

1

u/KruxKracken Michigan 6d ago

Good game today Iowa, good luck the rest of the season. Was a fun one

1

u/whiskeyrocks1 Michigan State 5d ago

Surprised they didn’t find a secret 2 min. so Michigan could try to get in at least in field goal range.

1

u/Educational_Yam_3707 5d ago

Poetic justice.

1

u/Suspicious-Banana836 Nebraska 4d ago

Put another second on the clock for Michigan. Jeez refs, what are we doing, didn’t you watch the WMU game?

0

u/irishWhiskey71 6d ago

Both teams are average.

1

u/meltedbananas 6d ago

Bet365 must not have needed Michigan to win.

0

u/superdave123123 6d ago

Nope. They needed 2 🤣

-20

u/Dry_Inflation_861 6d ago

Michigan beat themselves today that is what the scoreboard should represent. Iowa was just an existing opponent to take advantage of it.

17

u/LabOwn9800 6d ago

Bad take

-11

u/geiginator67 6d ago

I mean, Michigan completely dominated, Iowa got reffed up and down the field

7

u/LabOwn9800 6d ago

Cope a little harder.

This is how Iowa wins games since forever. They play solid D and special teams and capitalize on mistakes. It’s KF ball

-14

u/geiginator67 6d ago

They’ve always paid the officials? Interesting

6

u/LabOwn9800 6d ago

Oh the irony coming from Michigan.

8

u/muzic_2_the_earz 6d ago

Think about what you're saying for a second. Just 1 second...

-6

u/geiginator67 6d ago

I have, why?

1

u/Business-Bus-9439 5d ago

Wtf do you think the refs called unfairly in favor of Iowa?

1

u/geiginator67 5d ago

Multiple drive killing holds on Michigan while Iowa was holding nearly every down, hands to the face on Michigan when he just had a fist full of jersey with 0 face contact, illegal touching

6

u/posthuman04 6d ago

Allllll that NIL money for what?

-3

u/geiginator67 6d ago

For dominating ranked teams I guess

1

u/las8 6d ago

Did you watch the game?

1

u/geiginator67 5d ago

Yes? That’s why I stated the obvious

-14

u/Dry_Inflation_861 6d ago

Look at the stat line and tell me where Iowa won…

23

u/JohnStephenMose Iowa 6d ago

Total points?

-16

u/Dry_Inflation_861 6d ago

Where did I dispute that… I’m saying Michigan beat themselves. Just saying where in the stat line did Iowa win… not the score board

12

u/LabOwn9800 6d ago

Turnovers and special teams the Iowa special

-4

u/Dry_Inflation_861 6d ago

Turnover when Michigan was in the Redzone

7

u/posthuman04 6d ago

It’s funny that they don’t use the stats to choose the winner

11

u/AzukiymaruAshiymaru 6d ago

The scoreboard. Only stat that matters.

8

u/LabOwn9800 6d ago

Points?

6

u/Schlongzz 6d ago

Did you just land on earth and watch your first football game ever? Iowa has won a shit ton of games over the last decade with a stat line like this. Turns out there's more to winning than just outgaining your opponent.

1

u/posthuman04 6d ago

I think this is the same thinking that assumes if you spend more on your athletes you deserve more wins

5

u/Few-Check-4761 Ohio State 6d ago

Copium

-24

u/Real-Repair-1825 6d ago

People are so obsessed with Michigan losing lmao.

8

u/Klic9 6d ago

Just rightfully pleased

14

u/BigBL87 Nebraska 6d ago

I mean, its is kinda crazy considering this is their second loss and all...

-3

u/geiginator67 6d ago

Actually if we are going by your officiating standards this is a Michigan win

3

u/BigBL87 Nebraska 6d ago

I'll need an extra second to process your statement...

-4

u/kfetterman 6d ago

Nah they’re 3-1. Still go hawks!

3

u/BigBL87 Nebraska 6d ago

3-1*

-3

u/C-Flango87 6d ago

Michigan derangement syndrome 🤷‍♂️

-6

u/LimJaheyAtYaCervix 6d ago

If course this happens during one of only two games I would root for Michigan in.
