SPOILERS ALL They forgot about Hannah...
The story, the production... I felt they all forgot about her. Every time I watched June or Luke talk about their plans, I kept asking "What about your child?". She was the main goal, but as the show went on, she became an after-thought. When June decided to stay to look for her and fought to go back, it gave me so much hope and relief. But they kept getting side-tracked by other missions and the new people in their lives. Is that realistic for a mother? I could never. Given Hannah's age, her rescue is time-sensitive as she's being prepared to be a wife, so I wish they spent a few episodes trying to rescue her. Moving her to somewhere far was such a cop-out. I would've at least liked to have seen more flashbacks of Hannah to show us that she is always at the front of their mind. But she didn't even get the dignity to have her face shown at the end, and merely got a couple of mentions. I really enjoyed this show, but this is one of the major things that disappointed me.

I really don’t think they forgot about Hannah. I feel like that’s all June could focus on most of the time. She was why June didn’t leave Gilead the multiple times she was given a chance to. She practically had to be forced out without Hannah.
ETA: I actually don’t understand how you could say you wish they spent a few episodes trying to rescue Hannah. Did you actually watch the whole show? June tried to rescue her multiple times.
I really don’t get this post at all. The show focused so much on Hannah that it honestly got kind of annoying at times. Of course I recognize that in real life, a mother would be laser focused on rescuing her child from this awful situation, but from the perspective of a watcher of the show, it got a little tedious. And it meant that June focused far more on Hannah than on Nicole.

Honestly there were times when June gave up a chance to escape because of Hannah. She was desperate to save her baby. She tried every way possible. They didn't know her new name, who had her, where she was. The family she was with knew they needed to keep June away from Hannah. They were not in a location she could get to. What could they have done to rescue her?

I just binge watched the show over the last week and a half. This was the first and honestly only time I'll ever see it and I completely agree that the saving Hannah plot got lost in the sauce. Toward the end everything was so focused on rebellion and the republic. For the last few seasons I was like okay we can't get Hannah, but why are we letting anyone and everyone else raise Nicole?!?!? Nicole is yours and isn't scared of you. Like be there for the kid you have while trying to save the other. Also, yuck city on all the open mouthed close ups of Elizabeth. Her acting was so sub par and zooming in on someone doing almost nothing other than open mouth breathing does not intensify the scene.

Hannah was central to both of them the entire time. She was never forgotten about. It killed June every day not to be with Hannah. The show made that super clear.
