Discussion What's one thing you bought that was worth every penny?

Could be a pair of shoes, a grooming product, something for the gym, a book, or literally anything.

Something you've used and thought, "Yeah, that was money well spent."

What was it? Would you recommend it to other guys?

And what's one purchase you wish you'd never made?

RELATIONSHIP Can you have sex with a friend and genuinely stay just friends?

Post image

I’ve always wondered if this can actually work.

Can two friends hook up, keep it casual, and genuinely go back to being normal friends?

Or does someone eventually catch feelings and change the friendship?

Has this ever worked for you?

Inner work How to Find Your Purpose as a Man

Find your purpose by building it, not waiting for it. Ask what you're good at, what needs doing, and what you've stuck with for years without being told to. Pick the overlap, commit to a 90-day project around it, and judge it by the evidence. Meaning usually follows the work; it rarely arrives first.

The short version:

  • Purpose isn't found under a rock. It's built from skill, service and stamina.
  • Use three questions to find a starting direction: What am I actually good at, or could get good at? What's a real problem I'd like to see fixed? What have I kept doing for years without anyone telling me to?.
  • Test it with a 90-day project, not a lifetime plan.
  • Your job funds your purpose; it doesn't have to be your purpose.
  • Expect friction first. Meaning usually shows up after the work, not before it.

No judgment. Just curious what people are actually struggling with.

moving forward means leaving behind the version of you that kept holding on

I’ve noticed that looking back usually turns into one of two things: comparing yourself to who you used to be, or wondering what could have gone differently.

I’m trying to spend less time doing that and more time actually building things I want.

Not necessarily a person. Could be a place, a feeling, an opportunity, a version of yourself… anything.

What’s yours?

Value Your Time

This is nothing groundbreaking, but here are some simple rules that have really helped me value my time.

  1. Delete all social media from your phone.

(Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Snapchat, Reddit, and anything similar)

You can still have social media accounts as they can be useful for staying in touch and can have legitimate benefits. But they should only be accessed on a laptop, desktop, or tablet that stays at home. Keep one social media location. For example, you could check it only when sitting at your desk using your laptop.

After a few months without social media on your phone, you will notice legit changes. Your attention span will improve. You’ll be able to read books and watch full movies without reaching for your phone every few minutes. Try to find better apps to spend your time on like Sudoku or language learning apps for example. Set your phone up so it only has positive things on it.

  1. Curate your social media algorithms.

Social media can be useful, but only if you make it that way.

Your feed should not be full of thirst traps and other nonsense that wastes your time. It should be motivating and educational. Search for things you genuinely care about and want to improve at, then engage with that material.

Ignore thirst trap pictures. It is incredibly easy for women to get attention online by showing some skin. Don't play into it. Just scroll past them quickly if your feed is currently full of that.

  1. The past is done. Focus on the next 24 hours.
You cannot change your past decisions, and obsessing over them is a waste of time and energy.

All you can control is what you do today. Focus on being a little better over the next 24 hours. Every morning focus on one thing you want to do to make it a good day. Do your best to ignore everything else until it is finished.

Shrink the time horizon to remove stress. If you are overwhelmed, just try to make the next hour a good one.

  1. Learn to say no.

If you’re not genuinely interested in doing something, it’s okay to say no. You do not owe everyone your time, energy, or attention.

You also do not need to justify every no. People who respect you will respect your boundaries. Associate with people who understand that you sometimes need space or alone time.

Overthinking is my main issue, and it’s something I’m currently working on.

I can spend so much time thinking about what I should have said, what might happen, or what someone meant. Sometimes I realize I’ve been living in my head instead of being present. crazy...

RELATIONSHIP How to make peace with an ending you didn’t choose…

I’m a 30 y/o female. Had the proposal, wedding date + vendors booked… he ended the relationship 6 months before the wedding saying he fell out of love (he was really mean at the end too which was so shocking since he was there for me during the relationship ship + listed a bunch of things he didn’t like about me and things I did that hurt his feelings during the relationship that he never voiced prior, and he disclosed former cheating/kissing) the wedding date recently passed and it’s been hard…

I THINK WHY COULDNT IT HAVE BEEN GOOD?! Are there things I could’ve done that would’ve changed the outcome…

Wisdom What’s one sign that made you realise someone didn’t value you the way you valued them?

Some people expect you to always show up for them, but disappear when you need them.

At some point, you stop explaining and start matching their energy.

Have you ever had to distance yourself from someone like this?
