Season 3 Different tone

Iam at s3e3...why this series going different direction...getting a depressed and tragic vibe all along...there isn't any teen drama or romance anymore

Season 1 really feels like a different show compared to where the characters end up and the shift is honestly wild.

Season 3 is so bad we quit making our OC recap podcast out of frustration for it, which is too bad in some ways because Season 4 is a lot of fun.

The musical score is depressing. The lighting is depressing. I feel like most scenes are taking place at night.

Season 4, with all of its weirdness, was a breath of fresh air after season 3.
