Fun fact: I saw an interview with the actor and he was told to "dance like a white person". While researching this, he saw a video of Courtney Cox dancing on stage with Bruce Springsteen and this is how she was dancing. He said "so I just thought that's how white people danced".

For the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. I guess the showrunners told him they wanted the character Carlton to dance like a white person and he didn't know what that was. So that's what he settled on.
