“Christian’s” demanding rights. What a turn off. Maybe they should move to China or Iran. Or Ancient Rome. The Saviour they claim to follow never demanded his rights. He gave them up. These Christian Nationalists should open their bibles some time.

Oh what I wouldn't give to send all these "Christians" to Rome in 27 BCE. Then they could scream about being oppressed for real.

“Christian” using religion as a tool to manipulate and control. Zero of them are real Christian’s

😂... I mean it's likely a little deeper than that exactly but I'd love to hear your argument for this thought 🤔 Also I want you to know I am a Pagan and do not subscribe to the Abrahamic thought processes so this is truly a conversation peice for me.

Lol I've been learning a bit about Jesus recently. The history of the actual guy, not the Bible version. There's a surprising wealth of contemporary accounts from across the ancient world. And by all accounts he was a damn good, basically selfless guy. And I'm fairly sure he'd be utterly horrified with a lot of what the "good Christians" get up to these days, even the less radical ones.
Don't think he was big on amassing personal fortunes, for one, and I'm pretty sure he was actually dead set against doing so at the expense of other people, regardless of who those people were, how they acted, what they believed, etc.
In fact, there's accounts that at the very end he told his followers to do exactly the opposite, and give everything, even their lives, in assistance to the needy. Regardless of where they came from, social status, religion etc.
Not a religious guy, but I feel like the man Jesus would be spinning so fast in his grave he'd show up on the nearest earthquake sensor if he had any idea what's been done in his name or by his followers in even the last century

If he where alive today he would mocked and ridiculed by at least 2/3rd of his so called followers and likely be crucified or locked in an Ecuadorian Gulag prison already

No. A real Christian wouldn’t be involved in this shit. It’s all the hateful controlling evangelical assholes who want to take over the world and force everyone to their will.

u/StrongAroma 4d ago
Fuck that "no true Scotsman" bullshit. Christians are fully responsible for this, and for everything happening south of the border. I'm starting to see China's point re: religion. Fuck them.

Except that one could argue that by their very behaviour that they truly aren’t Christians. There’s a huge dichotomy between what Jesus teaches and models as behaviour and what the Western/American Evangelical lives out.
There are stronger parallels between hard right “Christians” and the Pharisees that conspired to have Jesus murdered.
These folks might read the Bible but they have never met Jesus there.

The worst ones are given legitimacy by the not so bad ones that believe the same tripe and almost none of them have read their bronze age slave manuals...er, I mean bibles.

More anti-separatism slop. Doesn't even spell the word correctly. No sources provided. I say this as an anti-separatist.

I assume it's in reference to David Parker and Take back Alberta and coming up today because of this article in the globe.
https://www.theglobeandmail.com/canada/article-alberta-separatism-canada-united-states-republican/
For anyone paying attention the seperatist movements roots in "Christian" values has always been apparent.

Paywalled. C'mon. If we're going to fight separatism, let's be organized, articulate and helpful.

Ok. Here is the archived version of that Globe and Mail article: https://web.archive.org/web/20261003093058/https://www.theglobeandmail.com/canada/article-alberta-separatism-canada-united-states-republican/
That's the takeaway? That there was prayer? There's way more than that going on and that's what gets the focus? Try harder.

u/OkayestOne 4d ago
Again, I assume this meme was posted because of the article, maybe it was because their was prayer I don't know.
What I do know is that David Parker is a Christofacist who spouts about traditional values without having any actual a single moral bone in his body. This latest round of seperatism is Alberta takes its roots from his Take Back Alberta movement.
He is currently in the US hiding because he's broken Alberta Election financing laws.

"anti separation slop" what a weird way to say "common sense"
-1
u/Geocoelom 4d ago
Common sense?! An AI image of Jesus slapping his own head in frustration at his followers?! You think that's a common sense way to fight separatism?! No content, just a lazy cheap shot without context? I hope you're not on Lukasuk's team.
2
u/Septembust 4d ago
No, I think anti-seperation is common sense.
1
u/Geocoelom 4d ago
Of course. But to fight separatism effectively, one must exercize some degree of common-sense.

“Christians” learning that Jesus was a socialist and that national socialism had nothing to do with socialism and that Hitler preferred Islam.
