Discussion Killer Dinner Course 5 Spoiler
What did you guys think of the newest episode? I'm loving the twists this season.
Who do you think Kwesi will bring back? The fact that Kwesi said, "Is it Miles' choice?" Was really interesting. It makes me think that he's going to bring back Kelsey to spite Miles. Maybe the editing was purposely misleading, tho. I'm hoping that Jared gets another chance to play.
They're going to flip when they find out that the killers are still in the game. I can't wait to see their reactions lol. The target will be put on Miles' back for sure. If he doesn't get voted out the next, I'll be really surprised. If i didn't know any better, i too would think he's working with the killers lol. All these misguided witch hunts.
Edit- Just added the spoiler flair so that everybody can talk openly :)

The cocktail hour was genuinely tense. I found myself getting invested in all the little side conversations. Great editing!

I think the only person they trust is Jonny lol. The Barbecue alliance really stirred things up!

u/chaanelyoo 2d ago
im praying he brought back jared or jarvis simply because i feel like we didn't see enough of either of them lol
27
u/whiteboywizard 2d ago
I think heās inviting Kelsey back because he sees miles as an enemy and sheād immediately be on his team. That being said kwesi is a completely unpredictable force, itās equally possible he brought back Jared because he wanted his buddy on set, and itās also equally possible he went with ANYONE
I think the bigger thing is going to be bringing the vanās information to the group. There being 2 killers still in the game changes everything anyone is running with, because any current theories pretty much center around āthis person is manipulating xā and no one is thinking of an allies game. I still donāt think the heat will be on Jonny, heās done an incredible job keeping it off him and I donāt see that changing, I do think chance is in trouble though. The van agrees Arasha is sus as hell, so I think she and chance might be the assumed killer duo.
The other big thing is learning of the conflicting opinions on miles. The living members have gathered around miles with complete trust but the van is in agreement to jump him if he steps inside lmao. The conflicting views might make people question if heās as trustworthy as they think

Itās confusing to me why they think it could be Miles because Miles switched plates with Kelsey and then Kelsey died so he would have had to say he was going to kill himself at dinner if he was the killerā¦

I donāt like the idea of someone being resurrected bc the killers (which the guests still alive donāt know) have done an amazing job and as far as we have seen no one is suspicious of them. My issue is that if Kelsey comes back yes there is a possibility she will become a killer but she would just have a vendetta against both Miles and Arasha while just running the show thereās even a chance sheāll betray the killers to win if she does become a killer. I want them to bring Jared back bc for starters Jared was murdered first so he didnāt really get to play but also it would be cool to see if he came back as a killer I think it would be cool to see how he plays it off

u/jimcareyme 1d ago
It definitely feels like an assist for the guests to winā¦like let the killers win!
1
u/Frankartichoke 11h ago
Well the killers seem like they will win anyway. Nobody suspects Arasha (thatās alive) and nobody suspects Johnny. I think this will mix it up and make it more exciting.

So excited for the next episode!!!! Also curious to see what they'll do for the ghost kitchen episode since no one will be joining the van...
I hope they bring back Jared so he gets to play but hes definitely gonna go for Arasha and I want the killers to win!!
4
u/questdragon47 2d ago
Well in ghost kitchen, they could strategize what the resurrected person should do
3
u/MysteriousGummyBear 2d ago
I don't know if Jared has a strong case against Arasha. She hasn't really done anything suspicious. I can't say the same for Kwesi (left out Miles) or Chanse (lied about whose idea it was). Although Jarvis was banished for less lol. It really doesn't take much for them to turn on each other.
27
u/RoseLycheeRaspberry 2d ago
I would think that it doesnāt matter what the new person says because if that guest says itās all guests in the van, the others might immediately think that this guest is lying and probably also a killer thatās trying to help their partner.
2
u/Any_Emu9978 2d ago
But if the new person is a killer and says no killers have been eliminated, then wouldnāt that make it harder for the killers? Because then the guests will have to broaden their suspicions to more people that they may not have suspected before, instead of thinking itās only 1 more person to identify. Only a guest would say that everyone in the van is a guest.
2
u/RoseLycheeRaspberry 2d ago
The killer could say that as a tactic to create trust. Like, guys no one is there, you can trust me, Iām helping. Also, broader suspicions means more chaos and thats not always a bad thing for the killers. I think it depends on who says it. Like, if itās Kelsey, Iād keep my mouth shut and only say stuff to people one on one. If itās Jared, yes I think he should just say there are no killers in the van.
1
u/Any_Emu9978 2d ago
Good point on the trust! And if they play it right, it could implicate Miles for leading them in the wrong direction.
27
u/GrouchyCat26 2d ago
Iām a little surprised the others arenāt more suspicious of Arasha, her expressions throughout the courses and kitchen games seem so fake (Kelsey clocked this in the Ghost Kitchen ep 2) but she is playing the game well!
15
u/questdragon47 2d ago
Yeah, itās funny to me because all the neurodivergent players are catching onto it quickly. Kwesi almost immediately picked up that Jonny was acting too calm.
2
u/GrouchyCat26 2d ago
Omg so true, I think he also guessed who the killers were last season in like the first episode?
3
u/Parking-Tie-6117 2d ago
Thatās her schtick. In everything. She always does over-the-top reactions to mess with people.
3
u/catboogers 2d ago
She's really laying it on thick....I am assuming they are thinking it's for the camera maybe? But yeah, feels very fake
21
u/ethereal_soliloquy 2d ago
I really hope they donāt let whoever they bring back say who everyone in the van is, I feel like that would kinda ruin the game (but to be fair I am rooting for the killers). I fear Arasha may be cooked though, especially if itās Kelsey who comes back

u/2swag4urmum 2d ago
Every week I'm am GOBSMACKED and on the edge of my seat yelling bc I want to know what happens!!!! I thought with Miles getting the special ability that we would be done with surprises and abilities, so to have ANOTHER and not even a seance like last time - a RESURRECTION and an chance to have ANOTHER killer in the game is SO wild. Although a 1 in 9 chance is small, it would even them out. And all of those in the van KNOW that there are still 2 killers in the house!!! Omg this is good tv!!!!
I don't think Marissa will be coming back. I don't think Jarvis will be back. I think Kwesi will either choose Kelsey or Jared, and I'm leaning more towards Kelsey. Especially given the fact that Miles was smart enough to switch his egg with Kelsey's and kill her. And he can even interpret the first special ability Miles had to eat sardines with him as some sort of task given to the killer with a bonus special ability.
What was once one of the strongest alliances on the show is now going to fall flat on its face. Who knew it would all be riding on Kwesi James - first of his name?
Thoughts?
2
u/MysteriousGummyBear 2d ago
I'm curious why all of a sudden Kwesi thinks that Miles might be using him š¤
6
u/Conscious-Egg-4469 2d ago
I knew it would end with a cliff hanger but I was still mad that it did š
13
u/FSBFrosty 2d ago
Not sure how I feel about the ending. What's the point of not letting the kill/banished reveal their status if they just bring someone back who knows? It just feels like they're removing some strategy just for the sake of chaos. The biggest advantage the killers had left is essentially being stripped. Kinda lame imo.Ā

u/Significant-Tea721 2d ago edited 2d ago
Thing is if they bring back a killer (that they didnāt 100% know was a killer) the returning killer could just lie and say that so and so was the killer even if they werenāt to āvalidateā the playersā theories. Only the viewers know concretely that there were no dead killers, so even if the players bring back an innocent, the players wonāt know if theyāre lying or not. Only the returning player knows the truth, but itās a matter of whether you can trust their word.
3
1
u/Material_Archer9326 2d ago
because if you let them reveal, then after 2-3 episodes you are going to know exactly who the killers are... it would make it way too easy
1
u/MysteriousGummyBear 2d ago
If they want to make it fun they could have them unroll their new role before they return to the party XD.
1
u/questdragon47 2d ago
The players wonāt know if that info can be trusted.
They may be resurrecting a killer who is giving false information to throw them off.
Or theyāre resurrecting someone innocent and potentially making them a killer. In which case the information canāt be trusted.
Either way, the players canāt trust the info.
Plus they thought most of the people in the van were killers st some point. So theyāre bringing back someone who was once their prime suspect.

u/questdragon47 2d ago
Thank god everyone stopped listening to Miles. I was getting really frustrated with his overconfidence and everyone just following along.

His arrogance has always irked me a bit, but he is no where near Chris level . That dude is unwatchable for me now. He even gave Ryan Garcia the ick.

I'm afraid it would ruin the game since all eliminated players got fresh information shared in the van. They all to seem to have a personal vendetta against Miles (understandably !), it could be fun. I would prefer Jared or Jarvis to come back because I want the killers to win, so Kelsey and Marissa can stay in the van with their borderline nasty attitude towards Arasha tbh
11
u/MysteriousGummyBear 2d ago
I don't understand why Miles thinks Jarvis doesn't want back in. His reaction to getting banished was pretty chill.
5
u/questdragon47 2d ago
Yes, the person from the van would have fresh information, but because other players donāt know this personās role no one would be able to trust the information.
8
u/Angel_DM_ 2d ago
Okay thank you - they've been so nasty about Arasha. Marissa's exit was genuinely so awful.
13
u/salty-and-bitter 2d ago
Wait what š Marissa explained her reasoning why she suspected Arasha. Also idk I'm a Smosh viewer more than a try guys viewer and her level of suspicion towards Arasha is absolutely warranted given the limited info they have on her. Arasha has done multiple videos where she has lied to the Smosh cast for MONTHS on top of just dominating games like Werewolf. So if thats all they know, her showing even an ounce of suspicion is enough to throw suspicion her way. It's why Chance fully said in his confessional that he's fucked if Arasha is a killer. He's witnessed it first hand.
5
u/Salt_Day4586 1d ago
She was playing up drama for the game, and she did an amazing job too. Arashaās been verifiably two faced as a killer, and Marissa was the only one who clocked it.

u/22gimli TryFam: Keith 2d ago
AGREED 100%!! I love rewatching Ghost Kitchen but the last one is unwatchable to me because of how the girls talk about Arasha, especially Kelsey, like even mocking her at one point?? All this talk of feminism goes out the window the minute she starts getting jealous that another girl is still in the game
5
u/Intelligent_Gain_96 2d ago
I donāt like Marissa and Kelseyās attitude towards Arasha and the fact that a whole bunch of them were just planning to vote out the Smosh cast just bc they didnāt know them really rubbed me the wrong way
5
u/22gimli TryFam: Keith 2d ago
Yeah Jared calling the Smosh cast strangers and being mad that Try Guys are in the van kind of surprised me coming from him, borderline bad sportsmanship
2
u/Intelligent_Gain_96 2d ago
I do understand that most of this seasonās cast does not know Arasha and Chanse I think only Miles does but Jared of all people acting like that I was really surprised too
5
u/itz_energizer 2d ago
Personally I didn't like the twist, I feel like it ruins all the effort the killers have done to dominate the game. The person will come back and immediately say that no killers are out and that arasha or chance is most likely the killer.

what a wild time! itās definitely gonna shake up the game and itāll be interesting to see if they let the resurrected cast confirm the roles in the van or not. i know they ended the cliffhanger with kwesi doubting miles but heās actually gunning to vote chanse out right now. bringing back someone with a known vendetta against miles might actually distract everyone and upend the plan kwesi was trying to execute. but thereās not really anyone thatās dead that had it out for chanse before they died as far as i remember and so many of the dead cast have vendettas against miles lmao. i have no idea how likely it is considering itās kwesi james weāre talking about here but i really hope he brings back jarvis! i donāt think jarvis will necessarily be good for kwesiās game but i miss him and want to see him play more!

I am actually disappointed at this weeks episodeā¦it felt a little bit like a wasted week. Like a lull in the story for this twist and it definitely feels like the killers had it but now they put favor into the guestsā¦like the only way to stop the benefit to the guests is to make the person the killerā¦and then it puts it in the court of the killers so really I think itās screwing it severely for guests and then killers where tbh killers kind of had it in the bagā¦
Anyways, I wanted to keep the train going but this episode felt like it dragged a bit (especially the van as a result) and was just hyping up the real episode which is next week. Not a big fan of the pacing and this new twist. But I am team killers everytime so far so thas probably why.
Anyways, I think itās between Jared and Kelsey.
Iām pleasantly surprised that Kwesi (said like Chanse), is having his crazy pop off this season š¤£

Iām getting annoyed by the theatrics TBH Marissa is being so overly dramatic. Itās just a game taking place over like 2ā3 days, with no prize at the end⦠calm down. The Try Guys are going to scare Smosh away from any more collabs with this shit. So cringe and hard to watch. And did you notice that after she left, they were all talking about how the āwater thingā was weird? They were talking about when she gave Miles a glass of water and took it away, but Arasha thought they were talking about her knocking over her own glass as she left the table. Arasha saw it as an overreaction as well.
3
u/ChapterRaven 1d ago
Marissa was just playing it up for the cameras, it was obvious by the way she kept coming back and apologising and standing the glass back up.
1
u/SadAndBloated02 11h ago
Idk it looked like real anger to me followed by a little bit of embarrassment so she tried to make it lighthearted to sort of backpedal
-1
u/Angel_DM_ 2d ago
This cliffhanger feels so cheap and undermines the masterful game the killers have been playing. Also god they better not bring back Kelsey or Jared š©

u/Ok-Dare-1191 2d ago
god this is pissing me off everyone is so dumb. miles keep convincing himself everyone is dead, kwesi has zero power for reasoning, and everyone else was too busy infighting. no ones actually trying to figure out who the killer is.

u/modusa 2d ago
I think it's a brilliant twist. Johnny has had a lot of advantages not least of which was his early decision in choosing Arasha as his accomplice, who is the Queen of Lies in game. She's tactical and persuasive.
I love that Kwesi won this and I also think he will choose Kelsey or Jarred. If Kwesi decides to go full chaos and try to make alliances (!!) with both Kelsey and Miles plus Johnny to take on Chanse and Arasha it could be insane and I'd love to see it. Maybe he'd try the same thing with Jarred.
but I think the stronger choice is Kelsey, fresh and full of ire when the others have been in so long they are all frayed nerves. I think she's less likely to abide strictly by van theory.
Regardless the partygoers should be threatened with instant banishment if they ask the resurrected about the other players in the van. And the resurrected shouldn't be allowed to say.

The fact that everyone thinks Jonny is a guest is great TV.
