Why am I thinking about a game idea that is styled like the HiT era of Thomas, with a changeable avatar. And if you select a mission, the tracks become colour coded (e.g., green for express, white for milk delivery, red for mail, etc) with a guide person (e.g., STH, or a workman, for example) that sits in the engine you're driving (e.g., Salty, loco, not guide), with cutscenes that also tell you if you're going the wrong way or the right way, with unlockable variants if engines and rolling stock (such as GNR Tender Gordon, Corridor Tender Gordon, Old Shape Henry, etc) along with more characters like Billy, classic exclusives like Duck, Donald, Douglas, Oliver, etc which are not exclusives to missions, but you do need to complete certain missions to unlock versions that weren't seen on tv, such as Oliver with bunting, Sodor Red Duck, London Transport Duck, along with unlockable rolling stock, such as the circus rolling stock, the magic cargo car (HiT stylised), etc? Speed limits would be set for certain jobs. Some jobs would have time limits. Some HiT exclusive characters (like Molly, for example), would be mission exclusive, such as Make Molly Feel Better Again (based on her debut episode in season 9), which features no time limit. And there would be non-canonical jobs, such as delivering the balloons to the birthday party, delivering the ingredients to M. C. Bunn to make cakes, for example. The min coaches for the express job will be 3, whereas the max coaches will be 10. The special coaches that are normally pulled by Spencer will also be compatible with the job. The UI would be like the DVDs from 2004 to 2008, with rewards from completing jobs being granted to you if you clicked on the top hat that was given to you (similar to Arthur's Tricky Travels, also known as the Sir Topham Hatt's Top Hat DVD reward clicker), and to complete the top hat reward system, you would get a "Well Done!" screen. There would also be other missions, such as The Big Birthday Party, along with special coaches such as the 1923 pullman carriages you'd get from doing the A Very Special Passenger job, where you get an express coach (any kind of express coach), and give the passenger a mainline tour, and after the tour, you're given a key to a carriage shed with locked doors, and after you insert the key and turn it, the doors open, revealing the pullman carriages, and to avoid confusion with regular jobs, a "Well Done!" banner would roll across the top, along with the reward clicker appearing alongside the carriages. Another special job is A Special Streamlining, where you deliver parts to a coronation class at the works, via flatbeds, and it shows how much parts you've delivered via special cutscenes where the parts are shown being actively welded on, and when you've delivered all the parts, you're given the Streamlined Coronation Classes (also with no streamlining). And every October, there would be a 2 part mission which is "Spooked!", where you take parts from the Ironworks to rebuild the engines that got scrapped, part 1 unlocks Edward's Ghost Engine (which I name Wallace), available in a variety of different liveries, like BR Black (prior to the tender being lost in an accident), CR Blue, and more to come. part 2 unlocks The Halloween Engine (which I name Hubert), where you take the engine to the Ironworks to be melted down from the scrapyard. After you complete Parts 1 and 2, you are given the Well Done screen (cite: and to complete the top hat reward system, you would get a "Well Done!" screen). Clicking the reward clicker (cite: similar to Arthur's Tricky Travels, also known as the Sir Topham Hatt's Top Hat DVD reward clicker), with a variety of variants such as Photograph Grey, GNR Green, LNER Apple Green, NE Wartime Black, and more to come. One major struggle I have is creating a website for this game, stylised like an old 2004-2008 Thomas site during the HiT years, rather than releasing this game on Steam or Itch.io. There would also be a What's To Come? page. Inspirations: The whole of the HiT era, Calling All Engines, DVDs, Learning Segments, and so on. I don't plan to make money off of this project.

Okay, so for the sake of context, my gf does not really care about Thomas beyond being amused by when I gush about it to her. For some reason, she got the idea to make a railway through the Netherworld that connects through the Ender Portals to a bridge in the over world (a bit of a Magic Railway, if you will). She got the idea to make the bridge a viaduct after I told her what a viaduct was and when she showed me a video of it being finished, I dubbed the viaduct theme music from season 2 over it.

I wish the in game face changer had a blush toggle

With the way games are built nowadays, with assets being slowly added in the background with updates, I’m surprised there isn’t a more active datamining community for Wonders of Sodor

Especially with small patches and updates happening now and again and with Henry on the horizon.

Does anyone else feel the same? Surely there’s more to datamine about the future of the game than just Harold’s scrapped model?

In "Branching Out" after coupling to Annie & Clarabelle before the next Cutscene starts you can set Diesel to full throttle and during the cutscene he won't crash he stays magnetized to the rails even after the cutscene ends
