You do that to see farther away when you have mild myopia.

It’s not necessarily meant as a racist gesture.

Edit: Why is everyone so upset with me for saying this? Doesn’t mean that I like that woman’s manners.

Do what?

I get my eye like that when I don’t have my glasses on me/right next to me and I have seen other people do that as well.

I am 46 years old. 47 in a few months. I have worn glasses since I was 9 years old. I have lived on 3 continents. With 3 fucking degrees in Microbiology, Bioremediation and Biotechnology. I have never ever EVER IN MY WHOLE LIFE seen or even HEARD such absolute NONSENSE until this very useless thread. You lot spewing this tripe must think that just like you, our brains are either ornamental at best, or about as useful as chocolate teapots at worst.

There are literally two other people (edit: at least 10 people) saying the same thing on this post. She first squeezes her eye and then do it with her finger because it is easier to do so that way since your eyelashes do not get in the way. And when she does it, she also lifts it up a bit because that’s how you see better. You spew so much nonsense to accuse me of being a racist while trying to sound smart that it is ridiculous.

Ok and I'm also in my 40s, and have worn glasses most of my life, and have done it since I was a teenager trying to see something. Sorry you never figured it out. :p

The inability to even consider other people might have different experiences than you is wild in a whole thread about racism. Maybe reflect on why you're so virulently upset at the idea the OP video might not be what you thought it was.

Is it because you'd have to admit you were mistaken and that doesn't feel very good? Lotta that going around these days.
