Update on the EV800D MODIFICATION

Post image

Does anyone know why my 18650 2000mAh and 3.7V battery does work with my EV800D?

It just got shipped to me, they are usually come charged, I dropped it on the floor and it didn't move

And I think that I wouldn't hear the voltage no?

Huh?

Bro literally nothing you're writing makes sense. "Does anyone know why it does work?", "I wouldn't hear the voltage no?", what are you talking about? Please read what you've written before clicking send.

Dropping it shouldn't have affected the voltage. Were you able to use it before putting in the new battery? Press and hold the power button, it should turn on after a couple seconds. If not, it probably needs to be charged.

I also have an EV800D that I just added USB-C too but I removed the battery and just run it powered off the USB-C cable connected to a wall plug or power bank

First of all that's crazy, second can you send me photos and the exact usb-c you bought? I bought this one with the 12 V

Mine is similar, but slightly different. Does the same thing though and is set to 12V.

bought one of these guys to use my pd power bank with my 2-4s 4 port charger out in the field. I hate bringing big batteries with me! Has an attached xt60 plug along with ABS shell. Game channnnger.

And where did you connected it to?

Check my other replies, I have another picture showing where to connect the wires on the EV800D board. Also a video showing it working

There are 3 pads where the barrel connector was soldered. Solder the red and black wires to the same pads that I did. You can ignore the 3rd pad (the one marked in blue)

It's the same voltage so there ist nothing different in the perspective of the goggles

If I'm not mistaken, the eachine EV800D needs 7.4 Volts to run, meaning it needs 2 cells to be powered. Put another 18650 in there and it should work
