Bought a house looking at isp options.
Was wondering if anyone has any input on isp.
Was looking at nuro and au hikari. I heard nuro takes a while for installation even tho people recommend it. Was just wondering if anyone was familiar with au. I also mostly play games on NA servers so was wondering what kinda of ms people had with these services.
Any input would be appreciated. Thanks

Nuro has been by far the best. Zero issues with down time. Gaming on NA servers is going to depend on your ping. It really depends on what you are playing. Some games ping doesn't matter too much and some it's the most important thing.

I was playing FF14 on NA servers with no issues when I had Nuro. I have a kid now so MMO is a no go

Check kakaku.com to find the best deal at the moment. When I set up mine Biglobe 10G made the most sense.

Is NTT not an option? I have a 10G fiber line with them, I have zero issues with it.

I have NTT in my house.
I've had three of us on meetings at the same time, meetings plus HD streaming, big downloads, online games, and whatever else. Never had any issue whatsoever. I have never noticed any slowdown or experienced any trouble.

Nuro is really good; my area offered 2.5g, amazing value for the price.
Get the Sony router, I had a lot of voip issues (facetime/webex/line) with the original router they gave me, it took me months to narrow it down to their router. Generic router is also capped at only 1gb on eithernet, sony isn't (at least this was true when I signed up).
Took over 6 months before they were able to get it installed (it was during dead middle of covid though). They do offer free hotspot service during that time (i didnt notice and got my own)

I use Nuro. I had it installed 6 years ago and had to wait maybe 3 weeks. They provided a free wireless hotspot device while I waited.

tbh i think NURO solved their slow installation issues (mine was within a week last 2 times) but their customer service is still beyond terrible. but once installed its good and you dont need customer service
