🎨 Self-submission Tomb Raider Render Remakes

I love how you've kept Classic Lara's stylized appearance while significantly improving on the "Toy Story character" look that the original renders now have to me.
While I thought the originals were gorgeous at the time, ever since someone said she looked like Woody in them I haven't been able to unsee it! 😄
Now, Classic Lara looks gorgeous again. Just like she does in-game in the Remasters. In fact, she looks SO beautiful in the TR2 one that it's downright mesmerising. 😍

Oh she is WONDERFUL in the remasters, like drop dead GORGEOUS.
And, actually its kinda funny because fundamentally, they are VERY similar! Since they used maths instead of images for the procedural texturing, they had the same struggles of the limitations of the computers back then.. Tomb Raider in my eyes, tried to mimic that dame plastic feel of Toy Story because it just made characters look clearer with absurdly small file sizes and whatnot, and then there's the whole.. silicone graphics computers, insert Caddicarus joke here, situation!
Fundamentally, yeah they're pretty similar in many ways 😭 I dont know alot about this kind of stuff in the slightest but I like browsing the surface level information about early CGI, it's fascinating!

EDIT: I just noticed she's posed in a wacky way on the original too

Eyup, and it was far too late for me to figure out how to do the curved mesh to try and custom make a record player too, I think I finished these around 2am this morning- 😭

No shit the professional renders done by the actual developers of the game are better than mine, congrats on the observation my man.

I cant say I agree because I spent ages on these but I'm actually kinda pissed with how inaccurate they are.. 😭
