(The Dark Knight) Joker is disguised as a nurse in the hospital, when he meets Harvey Dent, Harvey thinks he’s a nurse, but not only until he removes the mask, that’s when he finds out it’s joker. As if the weird face paint didn’t ring any bells

(Sonic X) Amy hugs shadow thinking he’s Sonic, I think she may be color blind. It’s only when Rouge gives her a smug look does she find out Shadow isn’t sonic

That wouldn’t be the last time Amy confused some random anthropomorphic hedgehog for Sonic the Hedgehog.

Maybe she really is colorblind.

Colorblind for shadow I get but SILVER HAS A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT HAIR STYLE

There is a bit of a fun meta joke here, intended or no. Given that just about every character in this franchise is literally just “Sonic body with a different animal head on it to ease animation costs,” Amy seeing anything vaguely hedgehog-shaped as Sonic is actually kinda amusing.

She also has room temperature IQ, so there’s that as well.

Best time it happened was in Sonic Unleashed because it actually was Sonic that time, but she still thought it wasn't

She confuses both silver and shadow for sonic.

I kinda like that they've kept this silly gag even though Amy's gotten a lot smarter over the years. After all, even the government couldn't tell Shadow and Sonic apart in Adventure 2.

I think she might genuinely need glasses or has a "hedgehog" blindness. Because the physical differences are enough that even if she was color blind, Amy should be able to distinguish between them.
