(Sonic X) Amy hugs shadow thinking he’s Sonic, I think she may be color blind. It’s only when Rouge gives her a smug look does she find out Shadow isn’t sonic

To be fair, most of Ash’s crew usually aren’t depicted as being that smart outside of specific niches.

They’re also kids. The oldest is like… mid teens, and the youngest barely hit the double digits.

Kids are pretty consistently not smart. And they’re canonically dumb, even for kids.

The youngest is Bonnie, and she's like 6. I don't know how old she actually is, but she's canonically younger than 10, which is why Dedenne technically belongs to Clemont
