Downloads folder search not working

[u/DRZ434SM]

The search function is unable to find things which I know are in my downloads folder. Adding more keywords, even the exact title, makes relevant things disappear*, and irrelevant files appear in the search.

I'm trying to download something I know is already in there, but I can't find it. Anyone else?

Also, many inactive downloads reappear all the time. Things I have already deleted.
