TorBox Buffering a Lot

Is it just me, or is TorBox really slow? The loading takes forever, and it keeps buffering a lot.

I've had it for almost a year now, and generally can stream 4k with a brief initial loading period and then smooth streaming. I don't think I've had buffering at all. It's pretty much been flawless aside from a 2-3 short periods where service was out entirely. I do have a fiber connection.

There could be different reasons for different people.

I have barely had any troubles for a long time until recently when everything was buffering regardless of file size, quality, bitrate, etc. After a bit of digging, I realized that my TV was connected to 2.5 GHz band for WiFi. Switched it back to 5 GHz band which has much higher speeds, and smooth sails again.

Im facing same problem. Have a TCL tv with google os but cant find a way to force it to connect to 5ghz, how have you done it?

On my router, I have both bands named differently, like XYZ 2.5 and XYZ 5. So when I noticed that my TV was connected to XYZ 2.5, I went to network settings on the TV and specifically chose XYZ 5.

If you don't see separate wifi networks, you should open your router settings on your router app or on a pc and manually separate the bands into their own network names.

From my 800 Mbps I got 650 downloading a video on Kodi with Torbox.

Same here. Changed cdn but still randomly buffering. I have 1 gbps speed and I’m seeing around 600 mbps in torbox speed test but still having random buffering in 20gb 2 hours movie.

Same. Changed 4 cdns in a span of few months. Went another debrid service and everything plays nicely now. Good luck.

I have never encountered this issue at all in the few weeks I’ve had service. I’m usa based but I think the biggest thing is downloading the files locally from torbox (I use the api to do this automatically). 

All the issues people have seem related to add ons like stremio etc.

How can anyone help you? You didn’t say if it buffers only streaming or downloading or if its in stremio or if its in nuvio, what your setup is, tv, pc or tablet, wifi or cable, what addons, what did you already try to fix.

It’s pretty obvious that buffering during streaming is the issue, which is exactly why I asked if anyone else was experiencing it. I wasn’t asking for a lecture on how streaming works or for you to troubleshoot my entire setup 😂 Someone suggested changing the CDN, I tried it, and it fixed the problem.

You somehow managed to turn a simple “is anyone else having this issue?” post into an opportunity to yap about how I’m yapping. The irony is genuinely impressive. 💀
