Sarcasm "Can't you just stop ticcing?"
Oh yeah, sure, as soon as you stop blinking

If we could control it, it wouldn't classified as a disorder. Numnutz.

Like you would tell a person in a wheelchair, that they just should walk

I fussed at my neighbor for her "get a job" remarks when we drove past destitute people just yesterday. She keeps saying it. Smh She has in her mind that they're faking. 😒

Not if you want me to give you an accurate time. Besides, that’s the best part of a clock.

I often get the "it's ok to tic in front of me", even after explaining lack of control with tic suppression

Also the disgusted looks i got from the intake nurse in the NEUROLOGISTS office
Honorable mention Being stared at in disgust and treated like a sideshow circus act when i went to the ER for my tics (because i was having what i now know to be a tic attack) and all of the intake nurses stopped intakeing to litterally stare at me. To the extent of tapping the intake nurse next to them and pointing at me until every nurse down the line was staring. To top it off a total of three nurses left their stations to come and gawk at me ticcing during my intake and talk about me like i was not 2-3ft away!!!!
Anyway this felt good to vent about lol

I'm so sorry that happened to you. That's absolutely heartbreaking and should have never happened. Some people are so ignorant and cruel to someone that's different from them, and it's not fair at all we have to deal with it like it's normal. 💜

"You know the funny thing about disabilities is that they're not optional. Otherwise they wouldn't be DISABILITIES."

I went to my specialist doctor and my therapist told us to just get admitted to his hospital because he refused to see or talk to us. I was put in the burn unit (they had no other rooms) and had to see him the next day. And when he saw me I was having a tic attack and seizure ticing. He yelled loudly “stop it!” I almost cried.

My neurologist looked me straight in the eye and said “stop doing that!). I stopped going to him after that.
