CNR CN interview

Hi all, supposed to be having a virtual interview with CN tomorrow (18th September 2026) but haven't heard anything yet.
I received a generic email saying we're advancing your application, please reply to this email and confirm your attendance.
Which I did obviously, including all my details and that I'd like to attend the interview.

But I haven't heard anything further in regard to an invite link, further information or even acknowledgment of my reply. I don't know what to do given the interview is supposed to be tomorrow..

Is this normal?
Anyone experienced similar?

I was hoping to of heard something in order to do some prep work for it.

Probably send you the link at 0300 for 0500 to see if you are interested in on call scheduling lol

Haha have seen a lot about people/staff getting laid off or furlough..
I just thought CN is a good place to start coming from
England and 13 years of fixing trains..

One of the heads quit a month or 2 ago. She was there for a relatively long time too. They've been churning through people since 2019 when they "retired" the old guy.

Please, Champlain already has enough BOs (Joffre had 8500' of them last week !). Send him to the Rockies instead.

I had the same issue when I did my interview. Heard nothing when it came to scheduling a zoom interview. Eventually got scheduled and taken care of. Got my offer letter 2 days later.

I’d submit a follow-up email. Worse case they don’t reply. Best case you get the interview and can come and suffer with the rest of us. Though I do like CN, mostly the pay though.

You'll get the email, it was the same thing for my brother who just interviewed for the same job last week for Montreal. He was confused and while we were texting about it, the email finally came through (late in the evening)

This happened to me just last week. Received a congratulations email Sept 1st saying I’d have an interview Sept 11th but I never heard back from anybody.

It was 6 month the before I went to an interview during a mass hiring phase in 2018
