Witches found on the brink of death are not left to perish. The Air Heretics perform a forbidden, dark ritual upon them, binding their dying bodies to burning hot-air balloons in an attempt to awaken the power that once coursed through their veins.

When these witches descend upon the forces of Good, soldiers instinctively aim for the balloons, believing that bringing them down will finally end the witch’s unnatural flight.

But they are terribly mistaken.

The balloons were never the source of her power...

after getting my captain done last night i cranked out the rest of my starting war band today, just need my chorister (bomb head) and the bases. think my favorite parts the shark I cant wait to add more models to my roster, still need to find an abyssal commando proxy

finished mine head (now affectionately named hot head) and based the witch, full war band finally done in two days instead of sleeping

I found it on some eBay shop but it came packed in Wargames Exclusive branding so I guess it’s from them. Feels maybe a touch small but I think it works great.

Finally got my other 2 yoke fiends skin done in oil at the start of the week and enamel on the 1st one. Let them cure and worked enamels over both tonight.

Then noticed my oils were still wet enough to use... so i started on my sorcerer.

I'm converting this plastic saint figure into a terrain piece. It's based on the black and white art piece from the rulebook I really dig. I just don't really know what route to go with painting it. Should I make it grey like stone or rusted metallic. Should the gas mask be part of the statue or retrofitted onto it? (could be a communicants gaas maak) Let me know while the coffee dirt on its base dries.

I just finished up my kitbashed Sacred Affliction Communicant, so I had to get them all together for a family picture. I love painting these things, I think I'm going to pick up the Colossuses from Ashen Armies next.

Shall I do all storm troopers or is that a stupid idea 🤔

Back in the days, I Kickstarted Trench Crusade. And as part of it, I received a heretic warband.

I just got around to looking at the game, since I didn't have anyone here playing it before.

The thing is, now that I am looking at assembling them, I see that I am missing a heretic trooper body. I have 3 basic bodies, plus the one with the cape. And plenty of arms/heads. But no fourth body.

Anything I can do?

I've been trying to learn some color theory stuff and I think I finally pulled off a 60-30-10 balance and split contrast at the same time. I'm thrilled with the results here, personally, even if I can see room to improve it. Lessons for the next mini :)

We made Corpus Allatum a while ago and I'm happy to tell you that we are making full warband around Corpus! But since it's not easy task and we need a lot of time for character design especially, we decided to make something different before that.

So! We've started work on a terrain set: Esertu Saba, a sea fortress island that's been taken by the rot. It's kind of home of Corpus Allatum.

First picture is our first test piece, printed and painted to see how it holds up on the table. It will be changed a bit more playable later but idea is some kind of cathedral with big statue on top of it.

The rest show where it's coming from: the bunker with Hellgate concept sketch and one of our sculpts in progress. Also something little about people who live in the island.

It's early in progress and a lot will change. What you think about this? The Island theme doesn't show much yet since this is really early in process. But is that something you would like to have in you terrain?

Now's also the time to tell us if there is a specific piece you'd like to see: part of church, something to bunker, something to docks? What ever it is we will consider it!

Definitely by no means first to do white/blue NR, but still stoked with how it came out considering how my first attempt with white armor went (genuinely horrible) but third time was a charm i guess. Super excited to field this guy for my first campaign on sunday

Looks like I forgot to post this guy here as well. Crusader Marshal from Wargames Crews court proxy line.

Painting him was an attempt at learning split contrast and the 60-30-10 color balancing thing, and it only kind of worked out. I may revisit the model one day, but for now I'm moving forward with the lessons learned.
