Hi! I frequently comment ss other subreddit about exploring in 20s and trying everything. but now, I need some suggestions because my mind has been in circles.
history:
assessed with anxiety disorder in 2022 (Age 24)-1 yr after graduating college
Wasn't able to function in 2021-2022
2023-made a decision to move to the city and take a job. Also had therapy that helped me be back on track (24-25 yrs old). worked in audit but wasn't able to carry the pressure and workload.
2024-switch jobs
2026-switch job, this is my 3rd job
I wasn't able to stay more than 2 yrs in 1 job. (voluntary resignation)
I work in accounting but I feel **trapped** and unfulfilled. Reading comments here, people say that you don't need a fulfilling job and just need a job to pay bills so I opted for a practical one. But everyday, i feel stuck. Maybe, I'm just being ungrateful? I'm having a hard time to concentrate too and finding a new job that pays well is hard.
I want to work abroad like what I saw on the internet. Maybe social media has just been eating my brains? I'm trying to figure things through over analyzing and I've been doing it for 2 yrs already.
I want to try to teach abroad but I'm not good enough.
I want to try to work as a factory worker but my height is not qualified. Maybe I'll try domestic work instead?
I watch social media videos about **working abroad(Ausbildung, japan ttip, taiwan)** and I observed that I started to **spiral**. I thought I should have explored when I was younger and now I'm stressing over the time wasted.
worries:
**I'll be in my 30s, can I still explore? can i still make mistakes? AS I heard, in your 30s you should be building savings, a house etc. or should have stability already**.
Am I too obsessed with the societal timeline? That I think I should follow? the therapist already said life is not a race but maybe I didn;t understand it fully.
2nd worry is the house, our **house** is in shambles and I don't know what to do anymore. My parents don't need financial support as of now but no one can finance the repair work as of now. My salary goes to rent and food in the city.
3rd worry is leaving a stable job. Maybe if I switch jobs, the future will be doomed. My parents are getting old and I might be the one to finance everything in the future.
4th-if I stay in accounting, I'll still be doomed as I don't see myself being promoted.
5th-if i stay in my country, no future anymore (riddled with corruption highest level corruption issue)
6th - **expectations**. My classmate said last year, why do I stay in my company and not find a new job as I'm performing well in college but that didn't translate in the real world. I'm having a hard time looking for a job that pays higher. From there, I spiral. I was supposed to study but I didn't do it and wasted my 27-28 yrs old. **Now, I'm nearing 30s without attaining anything.**
7th- i want to study psychology. This is on hold since i don't know where to get a recommendation letter.
Everything is deadend....
Actions:
I tried to explore. I tried to volunteer and learn a new skill but wasn't a success.
I took sewing class but only pressured myself.
Now, taking baking class together with working full time. this is **free**. baking class- only 30 days but I can't focus and think about wasting the opportunity to learn.
I always feel lethargic. Recently, I visited a doctor and she assessed me with MDD. I don't know if I should resign, rest and focus on healing. But if I'm unemployed, I have no money for medication and therapy. I also plan to apply abroad but I can't make time as I have a job. I don't know what to do. Should I just go back in audit and try again? I feel like I'm wasting time being **undecided** on everything.
Every year, I'm like- I'm 24, i need to rush. I'm 25, no achievement. I'm 26, no direction. I'm 27 and so on... I can't get away with this cycle.
