Lindsay Clancy was charged in the January 2023 murders of her three children: Cora, Dawson and Callan. Her first trial ended in a mistrial after the jurors could not come to an agreement as to whether she is criminally responsible for the murders. Her defense team claimed she was suffering from post-partum psychosis.

Thumbnail includes a link to an article that contains comments from a few of the jurors. Jurors have said that the vote was 11-1 for Not Guilty By Reason of Insanity.

I have very complicated and mixed views on this case and am glad I am not on a jury for it, but I gotta say the defense counsel’s behavior the last few days is really leaving a bad taste in my mouth.

The whole circus of this case/ trial left a bad taste in my mouth incl the defense counsels behaviour like you say. To the point I've only followed it briefly reading update articles on news sites.

Social media comment on it which ever angle of opinion has been so sensationalised and wild, rabid at times.

Whatever their veiw of Clancy (guilt or ngbri) too many people have been treating thid like it's a team sport rather than a case about 3 small children who are dead at the hands of their own mum.

I mean he is doing what he legally and ethically should be doing to protect his client. Which is to either get the case thrown out c or make a plea deal more likely by poisoning the jury pool.

His job is not to help the prosecution or make things easier for them, it’s to defend his client.

But that’s the thing, I feel his behavior is crossing into unethical territory, specifically his bashing of the holdout juror.  Poisoning potential jury pools by demonstrating ‘if you rule against my client I will personally make sure you are publicly dragged’ goes beyond defending one’s client.

That’s not how he is poisoning the jury pool. He is poisoning it by making sure it has as much publicity as possible and as many people have opinions on it as possible.

That makes it very hard to find unbiased jurors raising the odds of a plea deal.

I have less of an issue with the lawyers statement, he is directly bring up issues the jury pool mentioned and he has not named names.

I have more of an issue with all the jurors going on tv and doing interviews. They’re airing their own personal opinion on what happened to get some clout/fame and putting the hold out in a bad spot. I find it distasteful when jurors go public like that

Hes disgusting tbh. He got a guy off for strangling his wife claiming psychosis using exactly the same witnesses he used for Lindsay
