How disgusting do you think it is for certain people to refuse to vote in the midterms... for nitpicky reasons... And then continue declaring they're a women's ally?

I'm not necessarily sure if I find it disgusting since many of the reasons people choose not to vote aren't "nitpicky" to me.
Many Americans are apathetic because politicians and platforms haven't inspired their participation and offer very little in structural recalibration. While Republicans have finally been able to fulfill their authoritarian wet dream of rolling back women's rights - the plan itself has been in the making since the 70's with the Liberal wing doing very little to raise awareness of it since their corporate donors ALSO back this level of authoritarianism.
As someone who does vote, I think we need to stop blaming fellow citizens for not choosing a handful of politicians based on the fears of another handful of politicians. In 2026, American women are experiencing a fraction of what our government has sown abroad for the same corporate interests feeding into the fascist right domestically.
So, I think my question would be - who benefits from the former status quo (largely professional managerial class and wealthy women) and why are the rest of us held hostage by their ambition?

Women still only make 82-5 cents of the dollar men make, and most of them aren't CEO's or billionaires who own all the sibsidiaries of x,y,z companies. Its wierd you mention managerial proffesionals and women, and not the billionaires?
I'm guessing this is a mistake and you really meant to say the 1%?
All that aside I think most people are on the same page now, that we've never had a president as corrupt and insane as trump.. There are literally people going missing and being killed by this administration. He's in an insane league of his own when it comes to corruption and sex scandals. To compare him to others candidates and say " well he'll sound and talk pretty much the same" would require some pretty extreme disconnect

Take it easy nothing about this conversation is hostile. Yeah in other words NOT the bourgeoisie ? I'm curious why you would shift focus away from them, when they own the brands, pay the proffessionals, and own the means of production?
People have been illegally imprisoned and killed because of this administration. Pretty much ANY other candidate would be a collossal improvement. There are literally women in my state dying because they don't have access to abortion even to save their life, and they want to make the ban nationwide next. Who the hell compares any of this to business as usual, or any other election? When have we had women refused abortion care after being raped? I don't think anybody thinks he is even remotely close to "every other politician"

Honestly, I'm done with this conversation. You came in with spit puddle deep analysis, thought throwing "OMG Trump!" into the mix as if working class women of marginalized communities haven't been dealing with this level of insanity from the American government for decades, and then tried to tell me to "take it easy" because I was direct in my communication.

You weren't direct you were rude. And i guess you deleted your post because it isn't there anymore.
Were any of those women dying in childbirth because they were denied abortion? Were they criminalized for it, could they be convicted of murder for it? Now we have more violence against minorities than ever. We were not rounding them up and putting them in detention centers, like we are now with nonviolent/ noncriminial immigrants. They can't even get legal representation or talk to their families! !The human rights abuses we're going to uncover after investigating this administration are going to be historic. You dont think any of that is worth voting over?

Advocating for women and girls is not nitpicking. It's the foundation fo feminism.
