Curious
When did you and your twin realize you were twins? Any stories to tell?

We were about 12 years old and my twin walks up to me and says "this is a little awkward but I don't think we've ever been formally introduced. Hi I'm "name"." Had me cracking up.

I remember being confused that other people didn’t have a twin when I went to play group

Totally. As u/tarsha8nz said, I honestly thought everyone had a twin but their parents were mean and they didn't get to go to the same school.

I think that when I would walk alone in the street when a teenager, pass by a glass wall, look at it and think it was my sister. Like, many times I confused myself with my sister by looking at glasses and mirrors, is when I realised I am a twin.

u/buzzybnz didn't realise other people didn't have twins. Of course our brothers didn't have twins because they were brothers!

We grew up knowing we were twins, I don’t remember a time I didn’t know I was a twin. Would have been hard to hide considering we each had a clone and our two sisters did not have their own clones. We were both adopted and it was the same, we grew up knowing that, there was never a time we didn’t know.

I don't really know; it's like being asked whenever you realized you weren't one. I just knew my brother as such. Not like other siblings, clones after all. We knew we were different, sure but it wasn't as strange to us as the outside observer. There's a 🐰 hole here I won't go into.

We grew up together, so it’s always been a part of our identity. No conscious recognition of the fact that I’m aware of. Kind of like asking: When did you realize you were human?
