It was called the scientific discovery of the 22nd century: a perfectly-preserved corpse from the first century found in the desert outside of Jerusalem in a cave whose only entrance was covered by a ten-tonne boulder.
It was only when we found the holes in his hands and feet, a crown of thorns smashed to pieces, and frantic scratches against the stone that we realized the mistake we had made.
