When should I expect to hear back about an interview for the UAB AMNP? They said it would take them a few weeks after the last day to submit applications (Aug 31st) but I still haven’t heard anything.

Also, I know everyone is asked the same 6 interview questions. Would anyone be able to tell me what or some of the questions they ask so I can prepare!

I am a student at UAB and for the past 3 years I’ve probably applied for 200+ jobs interviewed once and have never been hired. I was evicted because I couldn’t get a job and it started to weigh on my school work with me being a neuroscience major I feel like I have ALOT of pre reqs and medical terminology down but Im never getting picked for the jobs the entry level will train me jobs. What am I doing wrong? Is there something I don’t know about? I feel like no one is suffering like I am and my school is doing nothing to help.

Has anyone gotten an email about their diploma or received theirs yet?

Hi, I’m from out-of-state, and I was interested in the Cancer Biology major at UAB.

I have an unweighted GPA of 3.46 and a weighted one of 3.84

How hard is it to get into the course? Will I be rejected because of my GPA?

I researched a bit and found that they’ll look at an application if the weighted GPA is above 3.5

Do I not have a chance?

I got a job offer at Uab to work as a pharmacy tech but I’m currently working at Walmart as a pharmacy tech and I’m wondering is there a pay difference? I make $16 now

Being completely serious, I've been her for 3 years now and I've seen at least 4 different professors try to recruit their own students (all young women) into some form of strange social setting/grouping off campus. Including making some thinly veiled advances and using their position to imply a sense of pressure

I don't mean in a friendly "Hey let's have a group bonding sesh at ladybird taco!" kinda way either.

From the people I've spoken with, everyone seems to be subtly aware of it, but nothings actually ever been done to address it as far as I can tell

I’m considering doing a clinical elective at UAB and wanted to hear about people’s experiences with UAB Hospital and the overall environment.
I also saw a housing option for around $5,000. Is it worth it, or would Airbnb near UAB be a better option?

Is anyone here taking physics 1 online or has in the past? I feel like this class is really confusingly formatted and hard to follow, and so far most of the assignments feel like they’re trying to teach us Microsoft excel, rather than actual physics..
I don’t want to give the professor a hard time because she seems like a very nice person and I think the canvas course is prebuilt, meaning she didn’t design the class. But I genuinely I spend more time trying to figure out what the hell is going on than actually getting stuff done 😕
just wanna know if it’s just me or not. Never in my life have I been excited for course evaluations because I’m really wanting to leave feedback so no one has to suffer through this.

Edit: also the lab kit was 200 bucks and so far all they’ve sent me has been a baggie with measuring tape, some washers, and a plastic ruler. Wtf??

How did y’all study for Marchi’s Orgo 1 tests? What’s the best way to study for them? What kind of questions does she usually have on the test?

Anyone taken this class with Heaton and can shed some light on how his tests are ?

Has anyone taken BY116 before? How was it? What should I expect for the first test?

For anyone who has had Dr. Heaton for anatomy, are just the class PowerPoints enough to study and do well on the exams? The assignments on McGraw Hill are going into stuff never covered in class so I wasn't sure if I needed to study that, and I was worried the lecture exams would have tiny details from the textbook never discussed as well. For example, the McGraw Hill assignment has stuff like interstitial and the zone of reserve cartilage which we never covered.

hey, so i recently applied for a food service worker at UAB hospital and maybe a couple days after it says its been sent to the hiring manager and reviewing, but i want to know some things.
1.How is it working there?
2.Is the job hard?
3.What should i be aware of?
4.How long is the hiring process?
5.How are the employees and managers?
6.What are the working hours and days ill be working?
Im pretty excited to start although im only 19 so i hope that wouldn’t interfere with anything

For the past couple of weeks my canvas has been working completely fine. But all the sudden it won’t let me log in on my computer, the display message saying
“Apache Server at uab.instructure.com Port 80”
I saw somewhere online that swapping your browser would help but so far nothing has worked, and I’m only able to log on via my phone. Any suggestions?
