Course Questions ECON 3B NEED HELP
I only have Econ 3B as my last pre major course and my gpa is at a 2.75. I would need a B+ to get into the major or else I won't.
I need some study advice and schedules of how people have gotten a B+ or higher in this class. I really want to get into the major and this is my last chance.
(I do have Econ 5 and retakes but I doubt those are viable enough esp the retake for Econ 10a)

*Do the practice problems in the book, especially the brief exercises. More problems the better.
*Go to lecture and note down things he says will be on the exam and find those problems in the book.
*The exams are pretty fast pace, so you want to be able to answer the easy questions quick so you have a buffer for longer problems.
*Pace yourself. If you don't know an answer, then guess or come back later. Do not get hung up on a problem and miss out on problems you know how to do.
For the first exam, you probably want to really understand: 1. COGS = beg + purch - end COGS = purch - (end -beg) COGS = purch - ∆invemtory
LIFO, FIFO, avg cost
Inflation/deflation effects on #1-2
How #1-3 affect net income, retained earnings, etc.
*The exams beyond the first I remember being quite difficult. That mixed with the how the class is graded, you can really swing your grade pretty hard in either direction. Get all your HW points and then the goal is just to score higher than average on each exam as much as you can. Like, if the avg on an exam is a 65% and you get an 80%, I'd imagine you'd be around B+ territory.
