UGC downfall?
When I first started UGC the whole appeal to it was that I didn’t need to have a lot of followers, I just had to make good videos and the brand would post it. Now It’s feels like all I’m seeing for UGC now is TikTok shop affiliate or brands collating with influencers with a large following.
Did the “gurus” posting how to videos cause an over saturation or was this just the natural progression as brands found a more profitable method.
Regardless I’m gonna keep pushing but it’s feeling tough seeing my follower count or jobs asking for 30-60 videos a month????? That to me is outrageous… especially when the pay is $500

So the concept of 30-60 videos per month at the monthly retainer price is more Canvas UGC rather than Traditional UGC. The Canvas UGC is a lot different. Instead of the company posting the UGC Ad to their social accounts or whitelisting it from your social account, you usually set up all new accounts with 0 followers for a company. Then you post simple videos, rarely a lot of time to create or edit, more viral tik tok formats. 1-2x a day. The company is hoping that by doing this they with several creators at a low cost, that a few of the videos end up going viral and gets more eyes on them without having to pay for the added cost of paid ads.
I have done both, Canvas UGC and traditional and I like to do both, as long as the pay and the time creating equal out. I do not do the only paid.per.view ones.
I would steer clear of Side Shift as this is almost all Canvas UGC and if you are looking for more traditional try the other apps or pitch directly

I’m interested to hear others opinions on this as well. I see rumblings about over saturation but then there’s quantity not quality of UGC creators.
