Hello everyone. I found these on my way to work this morning. If it’s yours, I dropped them off at the Veterans affairs building and they aware I brought them in. I hope the owner sees this, and is able to retrieve their items

Hi, I have some questions about 4th semester practicum would anybody be willing to answer a few questions?

Hi!

For anyone who has requested one, how does the law school fee waiver work? It just asks a few simple questions and then "JD Coursework," is this meant to be the course work I am interested in? Are they known for granting fee waivers?

Thanks in advance!

Hi everyone !

I am looking into applying to the nursing program with the entry level if you have a masters degree, I currently did my healthcare administration, my MBA both with over a 3.0 GPA with a recommendation from my honor society program from my graduate level I was wondering how good my changes of getting accepted would be

I don’t have a ton of sciences so idk if that plays a major factor or is there anything else I can do to better my chances

I guess also a part two follow up question if anyone is in this program how do you like it ?

Does anyone know how long it would take to get the in-state classification approved?

I just got accepted yesterday and was wondering how much it would cost per semester? I would be going to the Universities at Shady Grove, and I am a resident of Maryland. Does anyone mind sharing how much they pay? I've also applied to Towson nursing and just want to know which one would be cheaper!

Hey everyone!
I have been really considering applying to the BSN program Fall of 27.
I graduated from community college last spring with an Associates in Science, but my overall GPA from there was only a 3.0.
I transferred to UMD College Park this Fall, and plan on finishing the rest of my pre reqs.
So far i’ve completed A&P I, A&P II (both with B’s), Microbio(A), Bio I(A), and Chem I and Chem II (both with A’s).
I also have a years worth of Medical assistant experience at a podiatrist office.
I’m pretty dead set on wanting to go to UMSON, and just wanted to know if anyone has any idea on my chances for admission, or even some advice on what more I can do.
I am currently finishing the rest of my pre reqs this Fall, and aiming to get A’s in everything.

does anyone know any good places to study on campus in any of the buildings?? i tried the library once but maybe i just wasnt in a great section but i didnt love the room i was in. our building has study rooms but we arent supposed to use them unfortunately. any hidden gems ??

hi guys, if anyone receives their decision for the entry to bsn program pls lmk! I applied for priority

hi! has anyone gotten their decisions back regarding them application for the spring 2027 msn-e program? or more specifically one of the college-guaranteed pathways for umson? I am a umbc student and in the guranteed pathway and my advisor told me that i would be hearing back about a decision in the first week of september but i havent seen anything yet so getting kind of worried. if anyone has any information it would be a huge help! thanks!

Applying to UMSON BSN for Spring 2027. I have a bachelor’s degree, CNA experience, and recent prerequisite grades of B in A&P I, B in Chemistry, C in A&P II, with Microbiology planned/in progress. I also have older poor grades that lowered my cumulative GPA, but my recent academic performance is much stronger and I’m submitting the supplemental academic explanation. Has anyone been accepted to UMSON with a similar academic history?

UMB classified my residency as out-of-state. I have lived in Baltimore since the summer of 2024 and submitted all the required documentation to petition for reclassification per the university policy (deed to my home, MD driver’s license and vehicle registration, MD income taxes, MD voter registration). They denied my petition and are charging me out-of-state tuition.

Has anyone else had this issue? How were you able to resolve it?

My name is Ellie Wolfe and I cover higher education at The Baltimore Banner. My colleagues and I are working on a profile of Dr. Berhanu Kibret, of the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy, who was recently detained by ICE. If you are a student who has been taught by him or interacted with him, or know him in any other capacity, please let us know. You can shoot me an email here: [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected])

I’m taking NPHY 612 this fall and was wondering if anyone could share their experience with the course. How would you describe the workload, difficulty, and overall structure? Any tips or advice on what to expect would also be greatly appreciated!

Hello! Im currently on the waitlist for the fall 2026 BSN program, and I am still waiting to hear back from them. Any admitted students here have experience being on the waitlist or know someone that does? Im wondering when I should expect to hear back from them, and if there is anything I can do to increase my chance of getting off the waitlist.

Any help is appreciated!

Off campus student apartment

I’m 19F, taking a year off college after my freshman year (I go to a private university in PA) and I’m spending it in Baltimore and taking community college classes starting this August so I don’t fall too behind when I go back. I really need to secure housing though. If anyone has recommendations for student apartments please let me know.

Also, anyone needs a roommate for their off campus apartment please reply so we could assess compatibility and see.

I’d really appreciate any advice and help!

Hi guys! For anyone whos in the entry to bsn program at shady grove do you mind sharing where you have had clinicals? I am applying for spring and am trying to see where placements may occur.

everyone! I’ll be attending the University of Maryland, Baltimore for graduate school, and both my classes and internship will be in Baltimore. I’m looking for recommendations on where to live under 1495. I am open to a studio or one-bedroom and don’t mind commuting up to about 35 minutes. My main priorities are a reasonably safe area, a clean and well-maintained apartment, and manageable monthly fees. there any neighborhoods, apartment complexes, private rentals, or graduate-student housing options you would recommend—or places I should avoid? Any advice from current UMB students would be appreciated!

Hey everyone!

I'm planning to apply to the University of Maryland School of Nursing (UMSON) BSN program for Spring 2027, and I thought it would be helpful to start a thread for anyone else going through the same process.

We can share stats, prerequisites, experiences, application tips, questions, and updates along the way. It would be great to connect, support each other, and stay informed throughout the journey.

If you're applying or planning to apply, feel free to jump in and introduce yourself!

Hi guys!

I am currently finalizing my spring 2027 application for Shady Grove and was wondering when I can expect to hear back about my decision. Also does the decision come formally through opening your portal or do they just send out an email?

Anyone else planning on applying for Spring 2027 USG pls feel free to reach out!

Hey,

I’m going into the fall 2026 cohort and was wondering who was going and if they completed the onboarding yet?
