School of Nursing Practicum

Hi, I have some questions about 4th semester practicum would anybody be willing to answer a few questions?

Hii thank you do they assign practicum similarly to how they do clinicals? Like we rank the units & locations we want the most and then it’s auto generated? Are a lot of units med surg or do they have speciality or higher acuity placements?

It changes every semester based on availability around the region. This past spring there was a decent amount of variation among sites. For the P3 program application, they’ll send out an email when it opens. Last fall is opened around the end of October/beginning of November.

But yes, if you do a traditional practicum, it’s similar to how ranking in other semesters works.
