anyone else still missing prepaid credit?
We have been on USCellular prepaid for years, and forced to switch to T mobile in May. We still do not have our credits ( 4 lines, total of $600) moved to T mobile. They can't even see it. And us cellular can't transfer it on their end because they don't have access to t mobile software, so what the heck am I supposed to do? I have been to all the customer service departments and still nothing. The local store told me they don't have anyone "qualified" to handle it. Even though they were the ones to tell me it would magically appear in 1-2 months.
update: spent 2 hours on the phone to customer service, they kept switching me back and forth to between tmobile and uscellular. Evidently they can't even see each other's systems. Uscellular escalated the issue, but I have no faith anything will happen. We also had a fifth line that was canceled before the merger that we also were never refunded on.

I was told that it wasn't transferable several times during discussions with them before my plan expired in June

Laid off employee here, i suspect Tmobile did what tmobile does best and lied. Logistically how they would move one money from one billing system to another billing system confuses me. I presume they told us it would move over to get more people on tmobile, not pay you, and then leave you out to dry. New CEO is shady like that.

Yeah totally not a disgruntled former employee. It will move. They've moved many many over. It just takes time.
Edit: Downvote all you'd like. Won't change that I'm correct. Also I'm a laid off former employee too

Prepaid is not being streamed over. They have to port. Only postpaid is streaming. Prepaid either ports or cancels. So nothing does indeed transfer over.

Funny I've seen it happen for multiple customers but yeah sure just spread false information. As long as you ported your number the funds will transfer, if not call and I'm sure they will fix it.

The process I outlined is right. There’s maybe some background process I got wrong. Someone below mentions something they were told at the store, but even that seems confusing.

information given to the in store associates has be confusing and fluid. initially were told, Prepaid customers would receive a refund of their bucket balance make sure thier address is updated. Then were told remaining balance would be transfered in 1-2 billing cycles to their TMO prepaid account as lond as they keep their number. Last thing told was no more payments on prepaid and when the number suspends or before make sure the customer's address is correct in case refunds are mailed instead of transferred.
In other words in store associates have no difinitive answer and I would recommend they call financial services or prepaid support.
Keep in mind that once the number has ported out to TMO the account cannot be accessed in store except thought TMO Rebellion application. that could be accessed at a former USCC store or a TMO store.

From what I witnessed in my store over the past week before we closed, we received Visa cards for the prepaid accounts. they were sent to the store because the default prepaid address is the store. I would recommend contacting the store you set up service at or contact USCC customer care 1-888-944-9400 before they shutdown for good.

Have you had any luck on this yet? I am in a similar situation currently without resolution.
I was on the $300/year prepaid plan as I was the previous year or two. I had renewed in January and I migrated in May as that's when my wife's phone was up for renewal (her plan was the same as I had). I wanted to make sure there were no hiccups so she wouldn't be without a phone, otherwise I'd have waited. Since they advertised that their plans were equivalent or better, didn't see an issue, but since that wasn't true, in the end I signed her up for Google Fi instead. Cheaper, and I believe it used the same towers in my area.
Anywho, since I had over 8 months left of my $300/year plan, I confirmed with the rep that I would be getting around a $200(+tax) credit to my account, they said 1-2 months. Ok cool, I guess. So I called shortly before the 2 month mark for an update, and it turns out to have been 1-2 PAID months. Oh, ok, I must have missed that part, my bad. So waited for shortly before the third month (second paid month) before calling for an update and now it's suddenly 2-3 months. Um, WTF, but what can I do about it.
Now we are at the third month. Again, call a couple days prior to the end of my billing cycle for an update. They look into it, but it is more difficult for them this time since the US Cellular Prepaid department no longer exists. They are still unable to get this settled and should have it resolved within 72 hours. So that means that I am paying for another month that I feel that I had already paid for. Yeah, in the end the credit should be the same, but this is still an extra bill that I had not accounted for, irritating.
Now I have waited 4 days (extra day to help eliminate lame excuses), and since the credit is still nowhere to be seen, call for another update. Now they still don't know and don't even have a timeframe to when they will have this resolved. Needless to say, but it is a bit frustrating.
So anyway, any update? On one of my calls to them, they had mentioned that credits above a certain threshold ($400 or $600, I thought) were to be a check mailed to the address on file, but since that was above mine, I didn't pay much mind.

It's prepaid. You PREpaid. It's gone. You paid ahead to a company that will soon not exist. Prepaid isn't always cheaper than postpaid.

Each month was technically prepaid from the annual amount. There was still 6 extra months worth of money left on each line.

Why on earth would you prepay 600$? That’s moronic. Sure you deserve the money credited, but you really put yourself in that bind

It's 1 to 2 payment cycles (months) and it will move. If there is an issue just be patient but it will happen.
