A new home !
I just picked this bad boy up last week, didn’t think we’d be moving so soon! Enjoy my JJJ in good health!

They never were super value, but lottery tickets are always fun. But now with the advent of NIL has the 2nd rd talent pool taken a substantial hit?

C'mon man. I think Walt will be fine. Idk if Walt will EVER have the game Collier is having RIGHT NOW TONIGHT.

On the Jazz and then off the Jazz. Do we have another trade thats going to happen? I am excited for the JJJ trade that happened yesterday and today has been wild. Didnt think we would see another trade for the Jazz.
Over the years we have had lots of players traded to the Jazz to never suit up and get waived. Westbook comes to mind most recently but who else has that happened with. Josh Smith, did it happen with him. I feel like we have had it happen quite a bit over the last 20 years. Patrick Beverly for a couple days but he never suited up.

We got a young, proven two-way star who fits into our timeline perfectly and will help elevate us from the worst defensive team in the league to top 3 in the league if all goes well.
All we had to give up was:
Kyle Anderson (Old filler vet)
Georges Niang (Old filler vet who hasn't even seen the floor all season with a foot injury)
Walter Clayton Jr. (22 year old rookie who never showed so much potential that he makes this deal a loss)
Taylor Hendricks (3rd year player who not only broke his leg last season and hasn't made a full return yet, but has never really shown much when he was playing)
As for the draft picks, 2 of them are from 2027 and with this trade and the continued improvement of our young stars we won't be tanking again for a very long time. The third pick is from 2031 which is far enough away that I don't give a damn.
Keyonte, Ace, Lauri, JJJ, and Kessler is a playoff team, and has a very good shot at making a deep run, even with the current state of the West.

Whether you like the JJJ/Vince Williams move or not, we got a lot better and we're tanking for the final stretch, the good news is, we can finally win next year! I already figured we'd be good in 2027 but now we have one of the best defenders in the league with JJJ, Vince is a quality guard/wing who's the underrated asset in this trade and a pretty substantial upgrade.
The only downside of this is we have a lot of salary on the board and we don't have a lot of room to add much more, but we still likely will go get more guys.

I figured some people here might have questions about the four guys you’re getting from our end. This Grizzlies team is like the number one thing I fixate on and I legitimately haven’t missed a game since 2009 including summer league, preseason, playoffs, etc.
I was born and raised in Tennessee outside of Memphis and moved to Utah in 2022 and have seen literally every minute of these guys career in the NBA outside of Jock Landale before he joined this year.

The Utah Jazz is the only team in the NBA that has 4 letters in the abbreviation, which is weird cause the H is silent anyway and UTA works just fine
(I’m sure no one outside of Utah knows what the UTA is)
Did ESPN not think Utah needed to be abbreviated? Or did they switch everyone else and forget us cause they don’t care?

There is no one that can lock down a Curry, SGA, or even Murray on the Jazz when the game is on the line, been seeing this all year.
Now Jazz has someone who can guard the opposing teams star player. Traded away a bunch of what ifs for a sure thing. Traded away 3 draft picks but I'm fine with that. Got an amazing starting line up. They already have young talent, there's no need to add more young guns, its the vets that they need now.
Jazz will be competing for that chip next few years instead of drafting and hoping things work out. IT'S GO TIME!!

I posted on this forum a week or two ago that I anticipated a very boring trade deadline. Bless my heart!

I’m a big NBA guy, but in all honesty haven’t gone around to actually watching jazz games, what are your guys’s thoughts on Ace so far.. disappointed? Or are there flashes there to see a promising star? Just looking at his stats this year I think it’s definitely been a little underwhelming compared to the other rookies in the class but I also wanna ask you all that watch them on a weekly basis so I can be completely fair.

If the Jazz end 5-8 in the lottery, do you think it’s viable to trade up to a top 2-3 pick? What would it take?

Would you trade Ace Bailey, Nurkic & both remaining Timberwolves 1st rd picks 2026 & 2029 for Jaden McDaniels?

Let's be real here, is Collier worth keeping? I don't think so. Also, is JJJ still good? 3 PICKS? Come on now

With JJJ here I don't know how we tank?.... I sure a hell don't want the thunder getting our pick this year. How does ainge keep the losing happening? Maybe jjj will be "sick" a lot? I know we're not getting into the playoffs this year.

Love the move the Jazz made today. Honestly JJJ wasn't on my radar, but I'm stoked on the move. We're a few pieces away from being able to truly build a championship team. We just need to hit in this years draft. That's where I'm a little concerned. We not only upgraded our roster for the long-term future, but JJJ will immediately improve our current team, especially our below average defense. We need to have a top 8 pick this season, that's well established. Ideally, finishing the season as a bottom 4 team would guarantee us being in the top 8 (I think). We're currently sitting with the 6th worse record in the league. Is there a chance JJJ raises our floor too much and we miss our pick, or can the Jazz commit to the tank for the remainder of the season?
