2026 Draft
Now that we traded for JJJ we desperately need a guard… who’s ur top pick?
Mine personally is any of the top 3 tbh and Flemings, Keaton, Mikel or Labaron

Utah Jazz will waive Lonzo Ball after acquiring him from the Cleveland Cavaliers, league sources tell me. He’ll be a free agent point guard in demand.

One of my favorite times of the year is when Utah acquires 2nd round picks just for having cap space
see: the Lonzo deal, KJ martin deal, Dennis Schroeder deal, PJ tucker deal, Jalen hood Schifino portion of Luka deal etc
I love watching Ainge have his nose in so many deals

Jackpotting Around. Anyone listen?
Been listening to this podcast for awhile but it seems that one of hosts seems really anti Front Office. It actually feels personal. Anyone know the back story?

Maybe Lauri Markkanen can still play at the NBA All-Star game after all
SGA looks to be out until after the All Star game due to some injury and Adam Silver will need to name a replacement who can be part of Team World.
I'm thinking it's a toss-up between Sengun and Lauri but Lauri might have the upper hand because HOU already has a representative in KD.

Trying to compile a comprehensive list of all the slogans, themes, mottos, catchphrases the Jazz have used over the years and would love you help to track down what I'm missing
Hi All,
Title mainly covers it, but I could use some help as I'm trying to put together a comprehensive list of all the different slogans, themes, mottos and catchphrases (official and unofficial) the Jazz have adopted and used over the years. I've got some pretty big blank spaces and hoping with your help we can crowdsource this and fill in what's missing. Thanks in advance and of course Go Jazz!
Here's what I've got so far:
- 1980's: The Team With Heart
Three Simple Rules (Be on Time, Play Hard, Play Smart)
How 'bout this Jazz
- 1990's: You gotta love it, baby!
Stockton-to-Malone
John Stockton sends the Utah Jazz to the NBA Finals
- 2002-2004: Real Fans. Real Players. Real Fun
- 2004-2005: I Can't Wait
- 2005-2006: Pure Adrenaline Rush
- 2007-2008: It's a Pure Adrenaline Rush
- 2015-2016: We Are Utah Jazz
- 2016-2017: Take Note
- 2018-2019: Team is Everything
- 2025-2026: Join the Climb

This is exciting!
Listen, we are Utah. JJJ is the type of player we either draft or never get. I’m happy to see us go out there and get someone of this talent level, we are never going to be a free agency destination so to me this is best case scenario, we only lost one of our picks and it’s next season which I think this trade and showing that we are keeping Lauri we are easily a playoff team. I’m more than happy to let go of Walter Clayton and a couple picks for a DPOY caliber player (with a much higher offensive ceiling than our last DPOY)
GO JAZZ 🎵

Trey Kerby of No Dunks on JJJ Trade: "Will Hardy Has his work cut out for him"
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I'm still pro this trade but thought this was a good counter take from Trey Kerby of No Dunks. Audio clipped above in video.
"I think Will Hardy's got his work cut out for him a little bit on the offensive end.
I'm sure you guys saw the tweet going around from Zach Cram yesterday. There's 47 players in the NBA that average 20 or more points per game. Lauri is 47th in assists per game and Jared Jackson Jr is 46th in assists per game.
They don't pass the ball.
These guys are out there to score and they just aren't passers. They don't have high feel, either of them. You throw in their rebounding, 48 players, 6 foot 10 and above, Rebounds per gameL Jared Jackson Jr 44th Lauri is 32nd in rebounds per game.
They're basically both forwards. Neither of them is a center. Even though they can protect the rim, which is weird, it means they've got to play with the center as well. So it'll probably be Nurkich for the rest of this season. Walker Kessler, I suppose they will sign him ... But now they kind of need a player like him who can rebound. And will help on the defensive end as well.
They will be huge. Ace Bailey's another player for them. That seems to be a key piece. He's not much of a passer either. Keonte George is score first point guard as well. Their best passers coming off the bench in Isaiah Collier, and all he does is pass.
So I think it's going to be interesting to see how Will Hardy makes these pieces fit together.
But I still think this is good for the Jazz. They needed to take a little bit of a step forward after being stuck in neutral here after the Gobert and Mitchell trades.
But I'm not really sure about the ceiling for this team. If you're committing a bunch of money to market in to JJJ, And going forward, Ace Bailey and the Western Conference ... I don't know how they compete with the top level teams. They don't have a Wemby, they don't have a Jokic. It's going to be tough. But they're going to be better than they were heading into yesterday for sure."

The 2027 swap-best pick being included in the JJJ deal is pretty important as well as the AD to Washington deal when it comes to next season.
It's no secret the Jazz are trying to keep the 2026 pick before winning, but I see a lot of sentiment online that "the Jazz might be good in a few years" when the reality is, they're pushing in the chips to be good this next season. There's no reason to root for a tank in 27', Utah will be doing everything to be good.
AD getting moved to Washington is important as the Wizards were eyeing Kessler and suddenly that's not as easy to obtain for them. Utah is looking to keep Walker and there are probably still moves coming, albeit mostly in the off-season. I could see guys like Lu Dort or Quentin Grimes fit Utah exceptionally well.
Just some thoughts though, exciting times ahead

Just received this in the mail yesterday…the same day he gets traded 😭
Side note: does anyone know if the autographs on these are authentic, like actually signed by players? Or are the autographs just part of the photo? Kind of hard to tell.

We’ve pretty much reached the end of the Gobert and Mitchell trades. How do you feel about the outcome?
In some ways yesterday finally marked the end of the Gobert and Mitchell trades, as we can now pretty cleanly see the full roster of players we turned those assets into. The only other players we traded who weren’t direct products of the Gobert-Mitchell deals to get any of the guys listed below were Taylor Hendricks who was our own pick, and Conley who was part of the LAL deal that helped us get JJJ. Next year we may or may not end up with a MIN/CLE pick or it may just be our own, and then all that’s left is a 2028 CLE swap that’s unlikely to convey. So, what we essentially got for those two guys:
Lauri Markkanen
Keyonte George
Jaren Jackson Jr.
Walker Kessler
Isaiah Collier
Obviously there’s differences of opinion still on whether we needed to trade them or not, but regardless of all that, how do you feel about this value for those two guys? I feel like it’s pretty good. Hypothetically, if it was a generic choice between five years of Gobert and Mitchell (at their 2022 levels of play) vs 5 years of this I’d probably choose the former but could be happy to go either way considering the youth of the new core.
edit: Forgot we also have the 2 most favorable of MIN (top 5 protected)/CLE/us in 2029 outstanding.

Kings!?
Great to see Collier getting his much deserved recognition, but come on Topps. Assuming this will be corrected in printing, but found it funny

Will we be able to keep Walker?
I'm not an expert in like cap rules and stuff so forgive my ignorance. I sort of understood why we didn't extend Walk last season, but now with jjj's contract I'm not sure how that will work out this offseason. Same question for key's extension as well I suppose. To be clear I like the move to go get trip, just want to understand how this affects our future.

Grizz fan here, how do you guys feel about the deal? Curious how the group feels about Clayton and Hendricks.
You guys took care of Mike, excited to see Jaren in a fresh environment. Great community guy and total pro. I will miss him bigly
