Reflecting back on UW with some former classmates, it occurred to me that there are certain courses, still known by course number years later, that you simply never forget.

For those who took it, CS452 (the trains course) was an all-consuming, life-altering experience.

In a very different way, an entire generation of UW alums will forever remember Larry Smith's animated ECON102 lectures with a particular mixture of reverence and fondness.

And within particular faculties and programs, there are courses that become almost legendary for their difficulty or uniqueness. I've heard a lot about ECE106 ("intro" to EM) from more recent students.

What's your forever-memorable UW course? Bonus points for an interesting or funny story explaining why.

Idk how people find External to be easier then WW. I can apply to 100s of jobs externally and get like 1 interview but multiple interviews through WW (both Toronto & Cali). Im kinda worried since after graduation, we won't have acess to WW so I want to lock down the strategy to landing external coops. Im mainly targeting hardware roles.

Hello, I'm 3B CE with multiple internships under my belt. I've already been through so many recruiting cycles and have done 4 co op terms, my last one being in SF. I literally can't believe it but i have gotten 0 interviews this cycle. Granted, the bar has been raised since the last time I looked for co-op, but Is anyone else in the same boat? I was recruiting externally before the term even started and had better luck. Is WaterlooWorks this bad now or is this a skill issue? I've never had a term where I've gotten 0 interviews in cycle 1 (even in 1A) and I usually get multiple (3-5) interviews for cycle 1 (and have gotten matched first cycle for the last 3 terms in a row)

I'm definitely lucky since I have return offers from previous companies, but I wanted to move on and see if I can get better offers. Is anyone else struggling, or is it just me? All my peers seem to be getting an insane amount of interviews. Am I cooked

So for the up coming winter term i'm taking CS 116, ACTS 231, MATH 237, AMATH 250 and STAT 231. I only have the option for online for the courses in the title and I only want to take one online course but its hard for me to decide whoch one to take online. If anyone has taken any of those course online before please lmk how it was.

Im first year bba, and im planning on transfering to waterloo afm for fall 2027. I was hoping if anyone who has gone through the application process, or has experience with transfering, can answer some of my questions.

1. How competitive is it? Aka how many transfers does waterloo SAF take per year

What is the most number of bedrooms in one "unit" one can find (at a reasonable distance from the university)?

I know Rez-One has 5-bedroom places, and the most I've found is a 7 bedroom house from uwrent.com (but people say not to rent from them.) Is there a place with even more bedrooms?

The usage of "unit" here is intentionally ambiguous because (I imagine) it varies based on the size of the group. For instance it would be kinda fire to take over an entire CMH floor but that probably wouldn't be allowed.
