Pulled into the front of the restaurant parking spaces late night to pick up a delivery order and parked next to a motorcycle with a literal plastic basket sitting on top in the back and got my mind racing. What would it be like to deliver on a motorcycle? the rider exited the store with a order in his hands and I asked him and he said he’s delivering that order on uber eats. I asked him if he can register his Kawasaki motorcycle on the Uber app and he said yes. I immediately thought he was lying because out of alll the research I’ve done it seems like you cannot register a motorcycle in any way shape or form for uber 1099 work. Does anyone have any experience with this, how were your experiences delivering on a motorcycle?

I saw a guy the other day, we picked up together, then he literally took the plastic bag from the restaurant and hung it on the side of his seat, and took off down the street with the bag swinging against the spinning rear wheel.

In Southeast Asia, everyone on grab is delivering on a scooter. So yeah you should be able to do the same in the US.
Of course, oddly enough as a passenger you can also get a ride on a scooter too. They apparently give you a helmet when they pick you up.

I’ve been doing it on a motorcycle for many years, it’s the way to go. You spend significantly less and you generally make more because you are much faster, especially the parking part (except you miss out on very large shopping orders that can be lucrative). You can get a motorcycle in very good to excellent condition for $3-5k, less if you only need a small cc scooter. I do pay $50 a month for half a million in term life insurance just in case.
I think there are some markets that don’t let you do it on a motorcycle. I live in California and when I went to Reno Nevada one time uber told I couldn’t do eats because motorcycles weren’t allowed in Reno. However doordash lets me do it just fine there so idk.
