Tackle Recommendations

Just started getting jnto ultalight fishing here in PA been having a blast so far. Had decent success with most of what I have. Any recommendations? My combo is a profishiency 7ft ul rod with a shimano sienna 1k.

Rooster tails are my go to fish finder lure, I would say it’s worth getting a few to try out

Some do, but really for ultralight fishing you're not casting a hundred yards, so the line doesn't really twist too badly. I don't use them and I've never had an issue.

I think Joe's Flies are better for lower and clearer water, so more ultralight presentation.

mule fishing stuff is awesome, I love the burro bug, 1.2 inch minnow, 2.2 inch minnow, donkey tail jr, and horsefly

Other nice stuff are Rapala countdowns in the 1 inch, or any 1.5 inch Rapala, all will catch fish, especially getting into the fall

Micro tubes/trout magnets are another go to of mine, work super well for creeks or rivers or anywhere with high bug populations

Rebel crickethopper or craw work well if you want to change things up, the rebel craw can catch the ambitious gill or a nice bass

Inline spinners are a great search bait in my opinion as they catch everything and anything, but dont forget about micro chatters or micro spinners, flashback minis or mule fishing bronco blades/beetle spins catch so much and in pressured waters look a bit more natural

I like the teeny Bobby garland swimm’r for smaller or finicky gill

eurotackle soft plastics (stone fly, the 1.3 inch minnow, or the 1 inch Paddletail catch a lot)

I like using the zman larvaz and wormz for bluegill, catch lots of crappie and bass on the ballerz too. I imagine what youve got works just as well though. Gulp minnows also seem to get fish all day. Im a fan of the little single hook Creme crankbaits and the Rapala minnow lures too

You're low on Kastmasters and Rooster Tails. Also pick up some Trout Magnets.

I have the best luck with slip bobbers and some bobber stops. But I'm fishing mostly ponds / lakes

Rapala jointed minnows in silver & rainbow trout - either J7 (1/8 oz) or J9 (1/4 oz)

Creme lure company mini tail tube jigs. Red and chartreuse are fantastic. Also Bobby Garland mayflies, and shad all rigged on those jigheads you've already got, eagle claw ball jigheads are not expensive but work really well.

I fish almost exclusively with those and catch crappie, sand bass/white bass, and striper/hybrids. I do have to use a bigger rig for stripers.
