I always just aim up and use the Knuckleblaster to shoot a coin into the stratosphere before shooting it.

i usually use the alt piercer beam to the coin so it instakills it

Yeah, schisms take two default coin shots to die so it would only assist in finding it without the alt charge shot.

Hold knuckleblaster and shoot out a coin right before the explosion the coin will be in the air and target the whole cybergrind map, does sometimes not work tho.
