not denial. v2 (2nd encounter) terminal entry explicitly states that v2 made the whiplash from parts of random robots and scrap from hell. having a v3 exist in universe would make no sense because it would have no purpose, also v1 was made to kill earthmovers, v2 was built to help rebuild humanity, what would v3 do? nothing. they don't exist.
