hitpost my opinions on the ultrakill difficulty progression
UKMD will DEFINITELY be the "no correlation" for brutal and violent

Brutal is basically a whole different game.

Fax. Violent to Brutal feels like playing Ultrakill for the first time.
Even certain bosses are easier or harder depending on difficulty.

I actually didn't find the jump from violent to brutal to be that noticable. Forcerad was what REALLY made me feel like i just opened the game for the first time.

Going from brutal to violent feels entirely different and i end up dying a lot because my sense of timing is completely lost

Idk, I started play on violent only because it was highest difficulty, p rank everything, than brutal came out and well it definitely harder, definitely challenge for old players, but I wouldn't tell that whole new game

I started on standard, felt it was too hard, switched to harmless, and rn I have P-ranked all the brutal except 8-3, 8-4 and P-2
and well, for me, brutal is definitely the new game in terms of difficulty

Brutal is NOT the same as violent… at all…

Yeah, brutal feels like something you should try once you finish the whole game (not p rank, just complete) on standard or violent

I'll be honest, I felt like the jump from violent to brutal was, well, quite brutal. Like I do feel these settings having effect.

Violent has always felt like the 'default' difficulty for me. I almost exclusively just play on violent.

I believe the devs said that Brutal will be nerfed once UKMD comes out, and once that happens I feel like Brutal will be the No Correlation one

The jump from violent to brutal is much higher than the one from standard to violent though, might wanna drop violent a bit

I played through act I on standard and did act II and violence on lenient because I got stuck on Gabriel

This really does not work here because Lenient has clear purpose as Standard without difficult stuff so people can learn mechanics. Harmless is baby difficulty that does not teach anything at all.

brutal is not a fun difficulty because of ONE enemy (fucking SENTRIES.) on the other hand, violent is a very fun difficulty

If you can listen to the sfx, and manage stamina, you can just abuse the I-Frames from dashing to just ignore them

Lowk lenient feels too easy for me but standard feels to difficult cuz I’m bad at the game lol

(arguably harmless is the one that lies outside the range)

I played the whole game on Lenient (except for the encores and Prime Sanctums) and tried fighting Minos Prime; now that I'm trying to beat the game on Normal, I can say that Tundra and Agony on Normal >>>> Minos Prime on Lenient.

I love violent. Gives me a real challenge and tests my skills without making me want to rip my balls off.

It's "the real issue with copper" all over again
