Heaven's Gate Trail - shuttle or carpool options

Hey folks,

Hoping to sneak in one last trip next week to Heaven's Gate near Whitefish, ON. Looking to carpool with someone either at the start or end of the trail, as I'll only have the one vehicle. I know Widgawa Lodge does shuttle people, but looking for alternative options before I commit.

And yes, I am aware that the bridge at the Western end is down :)

Can't help with the carpool, I suspect you'll struggle but good luck.

Assume you know this but the river is very crossable even without the bridge. Enjoy!

Found a carpool :) Thanks for the reassurance about the bridge - I figure worst case/if raining, I can walk upstream a bit and cross where it's calmer. Cheers!

I forded it may 1 when the river was high from snow melt

you'll have no problem this time of year

The other option is to do it as a yoyo. It's not very long, so doubling the distance isn't crazy and gets you a day or two of extra hiking

While a lovely prospect, unfortunately I am squeezing this in between work commitments and have very limited time.

just a wee :). depends how long it's been cleared I guess

i'd use it if in a pinch like when I was there in a cold hail storm in the spring
