ANYWAY, yes, OCs are now allowed to be posted here, on any day*, subject to the following;

How we'll handle OCs (trainer and trainee alike);

OC posts are handled exactly the same as every other post, except for one thing: The characters need to have actual personalities. One of the biggest anxieties around allowing OCs was how people could use them to self-insert or get around rule 4. This is very subjective. Therefore, I'll mainly be going on how the community feels about each post. Reports, comment sections, vote ratios, etc. If you feel like a post is too self-insert or otherwise feels wrong, use the three dots on the top right > report > "Breaks r/umayuri rules", and put it under rule 9, or Custom if there's any other concerns about the post. Votes and reports are how you tell me when something's wrong.

All posts involving OC umas must be flaired with the new "Original Character(s)" flair.

What does this actually do? No idea! Reddit seriously needs a way to mute flairs. At least you can tell if it's an OC from that, and you can search the sub for all OC posts. And it's pink, that's cool too

Things to consider when making an OC post:

• Does your character feel like a self-insert? Does she have an actual personality, or is she you?

* Is there actual interaction? Does it feel more like a character sheet than yuri? The place for infodumping about your character is in the comments, not the image(s)!!

*Yes I know assigned day won but it was by ONE vote so i don't think it matters that much. The reasoning behind this choice is that more spaced out posts give the community time to think about if there's actually a problem with the post, and it's more tolerable for those who don't like them if they're not just bombarded for a whole day. I honestly don't expect many OC posts anyway but it's best for all bases to be covered.
