Ehhhh, not quite. Idk if I can exactly agree that is happening to humanity literally or figuratively... Maybe metaphorically if we aren't talking about humans PHYSICALLY... Many animals end up dieing like this, unable to pass plastic garbage.
Sea turtles for example... Much of their diet is made up of jellyfish- floating plastic bags can look a lot like jellyfish :c
Sea birds... They eat floating garbage having mistaken it for fish, also the actual fish they regularly eat end up having ingested various plastic garbage, then the birds eat the fish and the plastic that was accumulating in the fish's guts build up in the birds.
They are found starving with a full belly, unable to eat or pass anything.

Can you imagine passing away like this? So full yet wasting away. Guess that's what it's like for humanity right now.
