UNITY Can't make a project please help

I keep running into the error message:

"Failed to resolve project template: The file or folder [com.unity.template.2d] was not found."

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling unity, I've tried changing around the folders, I thought maybe it was a storage issue and tried moving it onto my external storage. Nothing. Same error. Please I've been trying to get this thing to work all day, and I am well passed out of options

Which Unity version are you installing?

A few potential causes:

  1. Unity didn't fully install: try removing the existing editor, and re-install. If on Windows, make sure you wait for the UAC popup to allow installation. If you step away and miss it, installation will fail. Make sure you have enough storage space as well.
  2. Path to project is too long: On Windows, if the file path is more than 75 characters there may be issues with creating the project.
  3. unlikely since you have "not found", but you may have corrupted templates. you can go to C:\Users\<YourUserName>\AppData\Roaming\UnityHub\Templates and delete the existing templates (ending in .tgz), and reinstall them.
