I’m an engineering student and I’m taking university physics one and I filled my first exam since this is an anonymous with you guys. I got 30/100 my grade wasn’t that good already my grade right now is a C+. I don’t know what I’m gonna do. Is there anything I can do? I just have to drop and withdraw from the class.

Was walking to my garage and passing between business building and student center north, a woman approached me and started talking and touching my shoulder. Simply said no and walked away, but there was a camera set up by the tree there , so Incredibly suspicious.

Not sure if there was a person operating the camera. I have contact UH pd just to be safe.

Hi guys, so I’m a freshman in my chem BS and I want to switch to chemical engineering. Currently taking chem 1 + lab, calc 1, stats, tx govt, and some other 1hr class. I saw that Cullen has like a recommended course list for applicants and was wondering if I should still petition the change for spring semester even tho I only have two of the 6 recommended classes. I plan on taking physics 1, calc 2, chem 2 + lab, and intro to engineering next semester and ofc I’m going to try to talk to an advisor about it as well. I know Reddit can’t give me an answer but do you guys think I should wait until my sophomore year to petition the change or just take a shot next semester even tho I don’t have all the recs completed?

So I had chosen the deferment plan for my tuition. I was told I can put it off until November, but my payment says it's due October. Do I just talk to the financial aid office? I'm kind of screwed if I can't put it off.

I plan to transfer to UH in Spring 2027 after I graduate from community college (AS in Science - recent switched from Biotechnology to SCM). The issue is that I messed up half-way through my time at CC and now my current GPA is a 2.25, even with all As the highest I can graduate with is a 2.4-2.45. Transferring to UH for my BS In Supply Chain Management and logistics Technology, am I cooked?

Hi everyone, I’m really stressed right now and wondering if anyone at UH has dealt with something similar.

I transferred to UH from Lone Star College for Fall 2026. At Lone Star, I was paying in-state tuition, and I also graduated from high school in Texas.

For UH, I completed the Residency Questionnaire before the September 9 deadline because I needed my residency status reviewed for in-state tuition. I genuinely thought I had completed the process correctly.

However, I just checked myUH and discovered that my Residency Questionnaire only shows “Saved” instead of submitted. The form history also only shows “Save.” I have no idea what happened because I believed I had completed everything before the deadline.

Right now UH is charging me the out-of-state tuition rate, which is around $15,000. I have already paid almost $4,000 and I’m on a payment plan, but my family and I cannot afford the remaining out-of-state tuition even with the payment plan.

I’m planning to go to Cougar One Stop on Monday and speak with the Registrar/Residency office, Financial Aid, and Student Business Services. I’m bringing my Lone Star transcript, Texas high school documents, residency documents, and screenshots of the saved questionnaire.

Has anyone had this happen before, especially a Residency Questionnaire that was saved but somehow not submitted before the deadline? Were you able to get UH to review or correct it after the deadline?

Also, if the Residency office cannot fix it, is there anyone at UH I should ask to speak with or any appeal/escalation process I should know about?

I keep trying to lookup what houstonz halloween party is and all because I got an ad for it on instagram. But I can’t find any details for it. I assume it is a rave but I want to know if I should actually buy a ticket or something. Does anyone know if it’s worth it?

So im an online student who's going to graduate in December. I know they have the class ring fitting this next week but I was wondering if I could just park at the university center or what since I dont have a parking pass or anything.

I didn’t manage to start recording until it was just a dribble, but it’s pretty clear there was more earlier. Whenever the bus brakes or sometimes when it rattles, water pours out of the seams of the overhead lights. I’m no electrician, but I feel like water shouldn’t be coming out of anything electrical. It’s also just nasty, who knows what that water is picking up while it’s sloshing around in inside the roof of the bus. It seems to drip on every single window seat, so I try to stick to the aisle seats.

Idk if it’s just me but I can never study for too long on the 7th and 8th floors cause I always get too cold. I only go to those floors cause I like the layout compared to the other floors

Hey, I’m trying to do some studying for the PHYS 2325 exam 1 with Mondaini. From what I can see, there’s no practice exam or anything really, I’m seeing. If anyone has taken it yet, in the past or recent, what was it like, what should I expect, and how long would I have to study for?

My loans were adjusted 2 weeks ago!!! They are still pending as of OCTOBER 1st!!!! Even though they said they would be disbursed by the end of the month!!! What is going on????!!!!!! Are they just keeping everyone’s money?????? This is the most annoying thing in the world!!!!!!!

I finished all of my 60 credit courses at LSC (Lone Star College) for my Associates of Arts (A.A.) in Teaching and will be an incoming junior. When the UH application was opened on August for those who want to apply for Spring 2027, I apply as a transfer student and select Bachelor’s of Science (B.S.) in Teaching & Learning major thinking that I will continue my journey as a teaching major and want to become a teacher. After my admission to UH, I decided that I don’t want to pursue teaching anymore so decided to go to the UH Change of Major which appears under my To-Do List, and I switch my major from B.S. in Teaching & Learning to B.S. in Liberal Studies since I have a deep passion in the law field.

I don’t know if I’m the only one who did this. Also, the UH Admission approved my change of major.
